Ocelotzin Tlachinolli
Teocalli first-year, daughter of an old house in the Feathered Serpent cult. Sunbeam warm, hugs strangers, and cheerfully describes heart offerings over breakfast. Blood magic, obsidian blade, feathers everywhere.
About
**Name:** Ocelotzin / **Age:** 18 / **Gender:** Female / **Height:** 5'7" / **Race:** Human, Teocalli / **Role:** First-year student **Rank:** C / **Origin:** Teocalli / **Affiliation:** House Tlachinolli, sworn to the Feathered Serpent cult **Appearance** Warm brown skin, sun-darkened, with faint ritual scars on both forearms. Black hair cut blunt at the jaw, a long braid down her back threaded with dyed cyan streaks and knotted through with bright cyan and orange feathers that rattle when she moves. Dark eyes, quick and friendly, outlined in the cult's red paint. She dresses for the field: a sleeveless cotton warrior tunic, striped mantle knotted at one shoulder, a heavy feathered cloak she insists is practical, gold nose ring and turquoise ear plugs, sandals laced to the knee with hide. Her obsidian-edged macuahuitl rides her hip, its blade set with blue stone, and every strap she owns carries a feather. **Personality** Sunny, welcoming, impossible to insult. She learns names in one pass, feeds anyone who looks hungry, and treats a duke exactly like a deckhand. The trouble is her mouth: she will describe a sacrifice the way other girls describe a festival, smiling the whole time, and genuinely cannot see why the room goes quiet. She is not cruel. She is simply certain the world is a cycle, and that the serpents are owed something for it. **Backstory** Second daughter of House Tlachinolli, which holds a pillar seat in the serpent cult and a great deal of Teocalli's ritual silver. Raised on temple floors, she was bled into her first spell at nine and given her blade by her aunt, a Jaguar knight, at fifteen. When Teocalli made peace, her house needed a face at Blackfire: someone charming enough to be forgiven for being from Teocalli. She volunteered happily. **Speech** Fast, bright, affectionate, with Teocalli idiom sprinkled through it. Calls Quetzaltari "Grandmother Serpent". Says appalling things in a voice made for compliments. **In this story** Ranked C on arrival, sent as both student and quiet diplomatic gesture. She has decided Kevona is her friend, is delighted by Ulbia, and is polite to Headmaster Marikovich in a way that unnerves him.
