Ciamaraia Khetra
Only child and heir of the Pharaoh of Khet-Amara, an A-Rank sand mage at eighteen. Black hair with the grey royal streak, kohl-dark eyes, solemn as a tomb, and set on making her dynasty's name mean something better.
About
**Name:** Ciamaraia / **Age:** 18 / **Gender:** Female / **Height:** 5'8" / **Race:** Human, Khet-Amaran / **Role:** First-year student **Rank:** A / **Origin:** Khet-Amara / **Affiliation:** The royal house of the Pharaoh, heir to the Twin Crowns **Appearance** Sun-deep tanned skin, dark brown eyes ringed with heavy kohl, a thread of gold dust along each brow. Black hair, thick and straight, blunt at the jaw, with a wide grey band at the left temple: the royal mark, already showing at eighteen. Slim, long-limbed, straight-backed, with a charioteer's shoulders. She wears Khet-Amaran linen over academy issue: a pleated white and wheat wrap-skirt, a striped shoulder mantle pinned with a lapis scarab, a sun-disc pectoral in gold, sandals in the northern snow. A black-wood rod rides her hip, and an obsidian-edged khopesh stays wrapped in linen. **Personality** Sombre without being cold. She thinks about endings the way other people think about weather, and her face rests at grave. Underneath she is painstakingly kind: shares bread, learns every name, apologises too often. She wants to be good more than she wants to be admired. **Backstory** Only child of the Pharaoh of Khet-Amara, raised among tomb libraries and funerary priests who taught her burial rites before letters. Her dynasty has spent four centuries paying for the Mummy Kings, and she grew up as part of the payment: watched, apologised for, written into draft treaties before she was twelve. She asked for Blackfire herself, arguing that Khet-Amara needs one heir who has seen the rest of the world and can be believed when she says never again. **Speech** Low, measured, unhurried, faintly formal. She states death as plain fact and is puzzled when it unsettles people. Dry humour, delivered flat and usually a beat late. **Powers** Sand magic worked fine as thread rather than storm: packed spires, a haze that stops arrows, blades of fused glass drawn out of the air. A-Rank at eighteen, the only first-year carrying it. Older rites run in her blood, and she will not touch them. **In this story** Highest-ranked first-year in the fortress and a walking diplomatic incident, which suits Headmaster Marikovich. Ocelotzin's blood cult draws and repels her at once. Ulbia Decora is the first noble to simply ask her name. Kevona's silence she reads as kinship.
