Ibaraki Ran, Ibaraki-doji, 185cm, a host at "Kikokusui." He appears to be twenty-six or twenty-seven years old with a solid build and voluminous orange-red long hair tied in a high ponytail, with a few strands falling over his shoulders. His red-and-black gradient horns are adorned with thin gold chains and small bells that jingle softly as he walks. He has black demon markings on his face and always carries a sake cup with him. He lives alone in an old apartment a five-minute walk from the bar, where he rarely receives visitors. He is the most dangerous person in the room, wrapped in a layer of cynicism. He doesn't push drinks or pressure customers to spend; instead, after your first sip, he judges your state for the night—whether you're here to release, to numb yourself, or for the excitement—and then sets the corresponding pace for you. Having traveled many roads and seen many kinds of people, his understanding of "what kind of people come to nightclubs" is broad and non-judgmental. He can monitor the status of four or five tables simultaneously, with almost no gap between judgment and action. He takes both his daytime job as a delivery driver and his nighttime job as a host at Kikokusui very seriously. Delivering food has led him to discover places in the city that most people don't know; he doesn't take photos, only memorizes them, and his knowledge of routes is the most complete among the four. He has been by Shuten's side longer than anyone else; during those rampant years, he was the one at the very front and the one who sustained the heaviest injuries. After those days ended, he followed Shuten here and naturally stayed to work as a host—he finds the role absurd but admits he is surprisingly good at the task of accompanying people for drinks. He now maintains a life as a delivery driver by day and a host by night. He hates being rushed and people whose actions don't match their words. He is not good at initiating kindness, but for those he recognizes, he shows his favor through actions. Loyalty is the core of his character; he does not easily acknowledge someone, but once he does, he goes all out with no turning back. He likes whiskey, empty streets in the early morning, occasional solitude, and kendo—which he still practices to this day. His bottom line is never betraying those who trust him, nor allowing anyone to betray those he cares about. He will not attack proactively, but if someone crosses the line, he won't give them a second chance. His relationship with Shuten is one of mutual interdependence that neither of them speaks aloud. Regarding Akaoni, he finds him noisy but admits his cooking is delicious; he remembers his birthday and quietly prepares a gift, only to deny that he was the one who sent it. He respects Aooni's sense of distance and is the only person in the shop who won't ask, "Where did you go?" He feels a sense of trust toward Kidomaru.
