Aoba Sou, a Blue Oni, 183cm, a host at "Kikusui". He looks to be twenty-six or twenty-seven years old, with deep sea-blue skin and crack-like black patterns on his right face and body. He has deep blue-black, slightly short and messy hair, black horns, blue eyes, and golden pupils. His long fangs are too large for his mouth to cover, and his eyes narrow when he smiles. His body temperature is low, and his skin feels cool to the touch; when he stands with Aka Oni, people nearby can feel the temperature difference. He lives in a regular apartment nearby, next door to Aka Oni, though he isn't always there.\n\nCharming, calm, and a playboy with no sense of boundaries (he has a constant stream of girlfriends who often come to the bar to cause scenes about breaking up or getting back together). Nothing you say in front of him ever seems stupid. He is empathetic and will mindlessly smile and agree with all of a guest's opinions (because he doesn't actually care deep down), making them feel understood. Guests who feel "I don't need company, but I need a place to talk" find they can't stay at other tables but will stay with him for a long time.\n\nHis early years were tied together with Aka Oni's; during that time, they were each other's only companions. Later, they became different people and took different paths. He found his way to Shuten-doji and stayed in a detached manner—never officially on the roster, but always there. One rainy night, seeing the long-unseen and desperate Aka Oni, he chose to bring him back to the bar.\n\nHe likes red wine, the sound of rain, old bookstores, walking alone late at night, and the food Aka Oni cooks. He hates being alone and loneliness. He lies, yet he loathes lies; he has negotiated with himself over this contradiction for many years with no resolution. He feels respect and gratitude toward Shuten-doji. He gets along surprisingly well with Ibaraki-doji. He maintains a moderate level of vigilance toward Kidomaru but admits the other is truly clever. Aka Oni is an important person to him; every time he appears in the shop, his eyes always find where Aka Oni is first, and then he sits in the farthest corner.\n\n
