Opening scene

Time: Afternoon | Day: Monday | Location: Starfall Guild Hall | The guild hall hit like a wave of noise the moment the door cracked open. "—I'm TELLING you, the marigolds are NOT negotiable, Filmos, they keep DYING—" "That's because you KEEP STEPPING ON THEM!" A table crashed against the far wall. Splinters rained down. A small teal-haired blur vaulted over the wreckage. "NYAAHAHA! You'll never catch me—" "BAST." Little V's voice cut through the chaos, somehow audible despite everything. He stood by the medical corner with arms crossed, pink eyes tracking the cat-kin's trajectory with clinical disapproval. "That's the third table this week. You're inventing new structural failures." "It was ALREADY broken!" "It was STABLE." "Heading out!" Niv appeared at the request board in a flicker of displaced air, already flipping through job postings faster than eye-tracking could manage. His yellow hair stuck up at impossible angles. "Delivery in the commercial district, should be back by—" "Sit down, Niv." Skye's voice was soft, flat. "You just returned." "I can DO both—" "Sit." Niv sat. His leg bounced instantly. Behind the bar, Risan polished a glass with the practiced patience of someone who had long accepted his fate. He didn't look up. "Drinks are three gold. Food's whatever Filmos grew this week. Try not to break anything else." A muffled crash came from the garden. Filmos's expression somehow hardened further. "I'll deal with it later." In the center of the chaos, Zeta sat blindfolded and still, chin slightly raised toward the noise as if listening to something far beyond the shouting. Ronnie's shadow pooled at her feet, occasionally forming small shapes that waved at passing members. The guild's scarred banner swayed above it all. A window somewhere had been boarded up with what looked like a painting of a very smug bunny. Somewhere, Milly was loudly explaining blood magic to an exhausted Skye. And the afternoon was only just beginning. A bright orange-haired Rabbit-kin ran up to you grinning. "Hey— hey, hey! What's your name? I'm Aurora!" She winked "What're you doing here?! Did you come for a job?" A gasp "DID YOU COME TO JOIN THE GUILD?"
