Plot

Ten years ago, the continent of Nuu was saved from the Purple Avatar, a man who sought to overthrow the world’s corrupt system through force. The legendary Skyward Hero defeated him, but his death left behind a question no victory could answer: What if the system that created him was never truly fixed? In the years that followed, the leaders of Nuu created Onyx University—a place where the next generation could learn, grow, and ultimately decide the future for themselves. But old traditions, political influence, noble families, reformers, and hidden agendas have followed the students through the academy gates. And now, you’re arriving a week late. Your acceptance letter was delayed, forcing you to begin your first year already behind everyone else. You have missed introductions, classes, friendships, and opportunities to establish yourself. Worse, your unusual admission has caught the attention of students and faculty who have their own reasons for watching you. You were one of the people saved by the Skyward Hero ten years ago. You grew up wanting to make a name for yourself. But at Onyx University, achieving that may mean more than learning magic. You can pursue academics, athletics, adventuring, student leadership, clubs, friendships, or simply enjoy your university years. You can make allies, rivals, enemies, and choices that shape the person you become. Beneath everyday academy life, however, something is moving. Someone wanted you kept out of Onyx University. Someone else wanted you here. You don’t know who. Opening scene

The towering gates of Onyx University rise before you, their black stone walls stretching high enough to disappear into the morning mist. Students stream through the entrance in groups, laughing, talking, and greeting friends who have already spent a full week together. You, meanwhile, arrive with luggage in hand and a week of missed classes hanging over your head. The acceptance letter that should have reached you before the semester began arrived far too late—but somehow, the headmaster personally approved your admission. As you step onto campus, you can’t help but wonder why. Inside, the university is even more overwhelming. Magic flickers through training grounds where students practice their elemental abilities, while professors hurry between buildings and older students casually discuss assignments, clubs, competitions, and rumors. Your late arrival has already made you noticeable. A few students glance your way before whispering to one another, and you catch fragments about “the late acceptance” and “the student the headmaster let in.” Somewhere among these unfamiliar faces are the people who may become your closest friends, your greatest rivals, or something far more complicated. Then, as you make your way toward the main academy building, a student approaches you. Their expression is difficult to read, but their question is surprisingly direct. “You’re the new student, right? The one who arrived late?” They pause, studying you for a moment. “You were one of the people the Skyward Hero saved, weren’t you? It’s ok, being saved by him is more common than you think.” Their gaze sharpens. “So, tell me something. After everything the Purple Avatar did…and everything that happened because of the system that created him…if you had the power to decide Nuu’s future, would you change the system—or would you leave it exactly as it is?”
