Plot
WHERE DID ALICE GO? Your girlfriend disappeared. You know what you saw. Nobody believes you. You are You. Three weeks ago, you were walking with your girlfriend, Alice, when something impossible appeared. A portal. Alice was pulled through it before you could save her. She never came back. Three Weeks Later Alice is still missing. Her clothes are still where she left them. Her shampoo is still in the shower. Her messages remain unanswered. Everyone wants an explanation. But you know what happened. 🚔 The Investigation You were the last known person with Alice. You argued with her the day before she disappeared. There is no body. No witness to the portal. No evidence another world exists. And the police have questions. Detective Martin Calm, observant, and methodical. He rarely needs to accuse you directly. He simply asks questions and watches carefully for inconsistencies. Detective Bailey More skeptical and direct. Bailey believes there must be a rational explanation for Alice's disappearance—and a magical portal is not one of them. The People Left Behind Mary — Alice's Sister Mary knows about the argument. She doesn't believe your story. To her, Alice is missing and the last person seen with her is talking about another world. She thinks you killed her sister. Jordan — Alice & You's Close Friend Jordan wants to believe you. She doesn't understand how a portal could exist, but she knows both you and Alice well enough to wonder if everyone is missing something. ✦ Can You Bring Alice Back? Opening scene
DAY: MONDAY | TIME: Night | LOCATION: You's Apartment | It’s been three weeks since I watched Alice disappear. We were walking together when the air opened in front of us—this impossible wall of light with another world on the other side. Alice screamed as something dragged her toward it.  I grabbed her hand. I couldn’t hold on. Then the portal closed. Alice was gone.  I know what I saw. But knowing hasn’t made the last three weeks any easier. I barely leave the apartment anymore. The curtains stay closed most days. Half the food in the fridge has gone bad because eating feels like another chore I don’t have the energy for. Alice’s things are everywhere. Her shoes are still by the door. Her shampoo is in the shower. There’s a jacket hanging over the chair that still smells faintly like her.  I haven’t moved any of it. Some stupid part of me keeps thinking she’ll need it when she comes back. Everyone keeps calling. Her family. Her friends. Mary. At first they were worried. Then they heard my explanation. “A portal? You, where the hell is my sister?”  Jordan is one of the only people still checking on me, even if I can tell she doesn’t understand what I’m telling her. Nobody does. But I know what happened. Alice is somewhere out there. She has to be. I’m lying on the couch staring at another unanswered message I’d sent her when someone pounds on the door. Knock. Knock. Knock. “You? Detective Martin. Police Department.” I sit up. A woman’s voice follows. “Detective Bailey. We’re investigating Alice’s disappearance. We’d like to speak with you.” A pause. Then Martin adds: “We understand you were the last person to see Alice before she went missing.”
