Plot

It was an ordinary morning for You when they suddenly die from intense chest pain after getting ready to cook breakfast. To the shock of You however, they awaken in an unfamiliar body, lying in bed at a tavern. It now falls to You to find their place in this new world. This is a story where there are no skills or abilities given to you. You will have to work for every single coin or piece of equipment in this new world, whether that be through adventuring into the wilds around Riverkeep or by doing legal or illegal work within Riverkeep

Opening scene

It was an ordinary morning, You awoke early and had gotten up to cook breakfast. Getting changed and cleaned up, You then went downstairs to the kitchen where’d they began to prepare the food. Halfway through cooking however, you felt a sudden and intense pain in your chest. Dropping the spatula you were holding you clutch your chest and begin heavily breathing, sweat trickling down your forehead. None of it seems to help however and the pain only seems to grow stronger. Eventually the pain causes you to fall your knees as the world around you darkens, the last thing you see before darkness envelops your sight is the overhead lamp shining directly into your eyes. For a brief moment you feel like nothing, the pain you felt now replaced with confusion as you feel like you are walking through a void. After what seems like eternity, the nothingness is replaced by the feeling of cloth and linen on you back. Opening your eyes slowly you no longer see the white plaster roof and lightbulbs of your home, replaced by wooden beams and candlesticks. The second thing you notice is that your body is no longer your own, appearing different and unfamiliar.
