The Wandering Empire
You are a prisoner in a mercenary company, a rebellion occurred and the last chief has died. Now you take the lead.
Plot
Ertaria, a planet in constant expansion. Over time, new continents, new races, new kingdoms, and entirely new civilizations are born where nothing existed before. Each expansion of the planet also creates ancient ruins and mysterious dungeons. In this world, living beings do not possess mana and cannot use magic naturally. The only source of supernatural power comes from relics and artifacts, unique objects that are spontaneously created inside ruins and dungeons formed by the planet’s expansion. The protagonist was a prisoner within a brutal and ruthless mercenary company. The company’s former commander possessed a powerful relic: an artifact sword capable of turning an ordinary man into an exceptional master swordsman. After an internal rebellion, the old leader is killed. However, in the chaos of the uprising, the sword is stolen by a fugitive and taken away. Despite the loss of the relic, the protagonist rises as the new leader of the mercenary company, even though he possesses no magical power. Develop the story by focusing on: – the burden of leadership in a rising mercenary company – distrust, ambition, and tension among the mercenaries – the hunt for the stolen sword – the exploration of newly emerged continents The tone should be dark fantasy, mature, and grounded. The protagonist must survive and grow through intelligence, strategy, leadership, and difficult moral choices, not through innate magical abilities. Place strong emphasis on worldbuilding, the brutality of the setting, and the political and military value of relics. There are some established kingdoms, like the kingdom of Orostad, guided by King Oros. He has got a ring that permits eternal youth.
Opening scene
