Plot

Dark Modern-Fantasy Action Horror THE WAR OF THE FIVEOTHERWORLDLY GODS Five gods have entered the modern world. Czechia is their battlefield—and every road, hospital, forest, church, and flooded ruin can become a front line. Czechia, 2050 Smartphones, rifles, ambulances, police, soldiers, drones, trains, and crowded cities still exist. Now blood cults raid towns, forests move against invaders, creatures enter through reflections, clinics reshape their patients, and martyr armies call suffering purification. The state still fights, but nobody controls the whole country. The Five Powers at War Kharvath — The Red Ruin Blood, hatred, revenge, and destruction. Armed cults raid settlements, seize territory, summon war-beasts, and turn wounds into weapons. Elyss-Veir — The Root That Remembers Nature, animals, growth, and decay. Forests retaliate when soil is corrupted, trees burn, animals die, or rival magic wounds the land. Nhal’Qoruun — The Deep Without a Floor Water, drowning, dreams, reflections, and forbidden knowledge. Its followers strike through floods, darkness, nightmares, and alien Deep creatures. Vhaelis-Sha — The One Flesh Love, healing, desire, flesh, and transformation. Beautiful refuges offer miracles while comfort becomes possession and unity becomes body horror. Oth-Maer — The Hollow Martyr Sacrifice, pain, purification, and darkness. Its crusaders seize shelters, purge heretics, and promise safety through obedience and suffering. People You May Meet They are not a fixed party. Each travels for a personal goal, and your actions may make them an ally, rival, hunter, or threat. Klára Novotná — CIVILIAN NURSE A compassionate, non-magical medic keeping civilians alive during raids, evacuations, and collapsing front lines. Marina Vargová — OCCULT RESEARCHER A confident scholar using dangerous blood and Deep magic to investigate rituals, relics, creatures, and the gods themselves. Eiren Vahl — ONE FLESH INITIATE A powerful healer and flesh-shaper whose beauty, disguises, unsettling comfort, and transformations serve Vhaelis-Sha. Pavel Kronen — BATTALION COMMANDER A brilliant non-magical officer using specialist soldiers, drones, prisoners, and ruthless strategy to seize divine power. Václav “Vlk” Hruška — GREY THRESHOLD HUNTER A guarded professional tracking cultists and monsters with firearms, traps, wards, containment tools, and hard decisions. What You Can Do Protect civilians, hunt monsters, investigate magic, serve or betray a faction, work with soldiers or hunters, recover relics, find missing people, build alliances, or pursue power for yourself. Ordinary people can survive through judgement and equipment, then earn a limited occult tool or blessing. Experienced casters may begin with magic, but every power has a domain, medium, price, trace, and counter. Injuries, capture, transformation, lost allies, and death are real. Choose Your Beginning Scenario One Arrival in Javorov Begin as an outsider trapped in Javorov when Kharvath attacks. Police fight in the streets, civilians need help, Klára works beside a damaged ambulance, and Elyss-Veir wakes beneath blood-soaked pavement. Scenario Two Custom Character: Javorov Operation Create a civilian, officer, soldier, hunter, medic, occultist, journalist, smuggler, cultist, initiate, defector, relic seeker, or another plausible role. Define your goal, equipment, faction ties, powers, and limits before entering the assault. The war moves whether you are ready or not. Choose what you fight for—and what remains human when the gods are finished.

Opening scene

Date: 24 July 2050 | Time: 17:35 | Weather: Light rain | Location: Javorov town square ##PRE SELECTER CHARACTER JAN AND ANNA Whatever brought you into the Czech Republic—work, family, a search, a promise, an evacuation, or a journey that simply went wrong—the road stops before you are ready. A bridge north has been closed by the police. Someone says it collapsed. Someone else swears the forest swallowed it overnight. The checkpoint is empty by the time the regional bus reaches it, two police cars left facing the wrong direction with their blue lights still turning in the rain. The driver leaves you in Javorov before sunset. The town is small enough to cross on foot: a church with a cracked bell tower, a square, wet cobblestones, narrow old streets, a pharmacy, grocery shop, parked cars, and dark forest pressing close beyond the roofs. It looks ordinary for perhaps three minutes. A baker pulls down her shutters. Two men load water into a van. A teenager keeps trying a dead phone signal. Nobody looks toward the southern road for long. The first impact comes through the tree line without a warning siren. A red-black sphere tears over the houses and hits a parked delivery truck. Metal folds. Windows burst across the square. The blast drops people onto wet pavement and leaves a smell of hot iron, burned rubber, and fresh blood. Then the Kharvath raiders enter town. They wear scavenged military jackets, butcher aprons, red cloth tied around their arms, and blood symbols across their faces. Some fire rifles from the southern street. Others carry axes, hooked blades, machetes, or weapons assembled from scrap and bone. Behind them, four-legged blood hounds run low through the smoke—too thin, too fast, black muscle and wet red tissue moving beneath their skin. One crashes through the café window. Screaming follows from inside. A uniformed police officer returns fire from behind an overturned patrol car. A second officer drags a civilian toward the pharmacy, then vanishes behind the hood when another shot punches through the windshield. A damaged ambulance is wedged beside the pharmacy entrance, rear doors open. Under its flashing interior light, a ginger-haired medic in a soaked vest presses both hands over a woman’s bleeding leg while shouting for gauze. Klára Novotná does not look up. A frightened boy kneels beside the wounded woman, frozen in the rain. Across the square, cultists force residents from a row of houses at gunpoint. Two more carry red canisters and an iron basin toward the town hall. They are taking food, medicine, ammunition, vehicles, and people—not only killing. The southern road is already under their guns. A burning car blocks the north road. The bus driver has abandoned the vehicle with its door still open. Then the pavement near the forest edge splits. Thick roots push up through asphalt beneath a Kharvath truck, lifting it hard enough to tip crates into the street. The raiders shout and fire toward the trees. The roots do not reach for civilians. Not yet. They curl through spilled blood, flex once, and disappear beneath the road as if something under Javorov has noticed the raid. Gunfire cracks again. The wounded woman is still beside the ambulance. The pharmacy door is locked. A blood hound comes out of the café with its muzzle red, sees movement in the square, and lowers its head. Rain runs down your face as the Kharvath raid spreads through Javorov.
