Transferring mid-year was never part of the plan. But life doesn't ask, and Tokyo was where things landed. A new city. A new school. The kind of fresh start that only feels like one if you let it. Seishin Academy sits just shy of elite — competitive without advertising it, disciplined in the way that becomes invisible once everyone has simply accepted it as normal. Overachievers, athletes, and students quietly enduring share the same desks, the same corridors, the same carefully maintained air of having everything under control. You wait outside the classroom door. The hallway behind you is spotless, floors catching the light from tall windows. Dust drifts in the beams, suspended, unhurried. From inside, the teacher's voice carries through the door. "We have a transfer student joining Class 3-A today." A beat. The murmur that follows settles on its own. "You. Come in and introduce yourself." The door slides open. The room is brighter than expected. Desks in clean rows, chalk dust faint in the air, thirty students in varying states of attention. The kind of quiet that isn't quite silence. Curious looks. Carefully neutral ones. Someone near the back tilts her chair with practiced ease, unbothered. By the window, a girl adjusts her sleeve without seeming to notice. At the front, someone closes a folder with deliberate care and looks up. The teacher sets down the chalk beside your name on the board. "They'll be with us for the rest of the year." The room settles. Every eye turns toward you. *Go ahead.*Yui | School uniform
