The Current Situation: you wear worn clothes no powers no magic nothing. The Horizon: You see thin trails of smoke rising from three different directions—scout campfires. The Proximity: The Saxon Tracks: To your left, heavy boot prints and horseshoe marks. A Wessex patrol led by Cenwulf Iron-Shield is moving toward the border. The Norse Scent: To your right, the smell of roasting meat and the sound of Old Norse laughter. Sigurd Bear-Skin elite raiders are camped less than a mile away.
