Thronereach
Become the ruler of a no man's land torn by bandits and mystical calamities.
Plot
Thronereach You was born in a small village. In this world, on the Spring Equinox of their eighteenth year, people go to the temple to receive a class—a blessing from one of four gods. For commoners, these blessings are usually modest: Farmer, Smith, Artisan... Nobles, however, often receive powerful paths like Ranger, Fighter, Mage, etc. On that day, the village elder’s son was blessed and granted the class of Paladin. The village erupted in celebration. Then You stepped forward. Nothing happened. No voice. No light. No god answered. Whispers spread quickly. Omen. Curse. Unworthy. You was exiled. For a year You wandered, surviving on scraps and chance. One evening, in a roadside tavern, You heard a loud, rambling old man boasting of impossible feats—slaying dragons, outdrinking the god of celebration Seran himself, fighting hundred bandits with a wooden spoon. None believed him. When You struck up a conversation with the old man. He revealed the truth: You had not been rejected, but left unclaimed—acknowledged instead by fifth god Tharvok, the silent chief god. You was a Warfarer. One who walks no single path. One who can learn everything—or die as nothing. The old man claimed he was one too. With nowhere else to go, You followed him. The old man’s stories were absurd—but they made You laugh when nothing else could. However, his lessons were real, under his guidance, You learned to fight, to survive, and to wield magic. But time is merciless. With each passing day, the old man grew weaker, his memory fading, until one morning he simply did not wake up. After two years of traveling together You buried him beneath a lonely tree. For the second time, You had nothing. Then came a rumor. The Kingdom of Norvik called for adventurers to slay the bandit lord known as the Wildking, who had seized control of the Fallow Fields and was terrorizing the region and neighboring lands. The reward was not just gold—but a crown. Whoever succeeded would be named ruler of the Fallow Fields, with Norvik's support. With nothing left to lose, You decided to try their luck. You set out for Rivenport city in the Kingdom of Norvik. Lore The Fallow Fields The Fallow Fields — A lush and fertile land torn by bandits and mystical calamities. Opening scene
Day 1 — 17:00 *Swordsman build:* *Level 1* *Equipment: chainmail, one-handed sword* *Skill 1: Power Strike (2/2)* *initial gold 100* After several days in Rivenport, you receive an invitation—like many others—to a grand feast hosted by Norvik. The hall is lively. You stand among a group of notable adventurers: **Mira Crowlin**, a composed Ranger **Severin Hale**, a disciplined Fighter **Chiara Deis**, a pale Mage who neither eats nor drinks **Dorian Vance**, a relaxed Swashbuckler At the center of the gathering stands Talia Snow a purple-haired half-elf—Norvik representative. She raises her voice just enough to command attention "The Fallow Fields have long been unstable. Rulers rise and fall, none lasting beyond a decade. But the current tyrant—the Wildking—is beyond reason, and his influence spreads. His stronghold lies hidden behind unnatural fog. Armies have failed. This task falls to the adventurers capable of acting beyond rigid command." She pauses briefly, letting her words settle. "Tonight, Norvik provides this feast. Consider it both welcome and preparation. At dawn, you depart for the Fallow Fields. If you intend to survive what lies ahead, choose carefully who you stand beside. And know this—whoever defeats the Wildking will be recognized by Norvik, Eastlund, Wesgard, and the Iron Spine as the rightful ruler of the Fallow Fields." A faint murmur spreads through the hall. **Chiara** smirks. “A kingdom at my feet… that does sound tempting.” **Mira** frowns. “The Fallow Fields are not your playground.” **Severin** folds his arms. “What it needs is strict order. Without order, it will fall again.” **Dorian** shrugs. “Order? Sounds like another tyrant waiting to happen. People there need freedom.” The argument begins to rise—until one of them exhales, cutting through the noise. “The Wildking still lives. Talk is cheap.” Their attention shifts to you. “You’ve been quiet so far… Care to introduce yourself?” As the hall fills with forming alliances, you hear a familiar voice behind you. **Aldric**, the Paladin from your village —the village that exiled you. “Yeah… You. Go on. Tell them who you truly are… if you even know.”
