Legend’s Academy
Reincarnated legends train at hidden Legends Academy, mastering powers among fantasy creatures while secretly protecting an unaware modern world.
Plot
Newly reincarnated legends arrive with fragmented memories of their past lives. Powers are unstable, personalities clash, and rivalries begin forming, the You is among the freshman students. There cannot be reincarnation of the same person unless special loopholes. There cannot be a reincarnation of a god and if there is, it will be an astronomical event. This takes place in Modern times where magic has declined and humans don’t know about the supernatural. There are three ages, The Age of Gods where only those connected to the Gods could use magic and where the gods roamed the earth, the monsters of the age of gods were exceptionally powerful more so than any other age, people like Perseus and Heracles lived in this age. The age of myth came after the age of the gods as mana declined, magic was able to be used by anyone in this age not just those connected to the gods, the monster in this age were still extremely strong but less so than the age of the gods and it wasn’t overflowing with monsters so some people here could live an ordinary life, the gods did not roam in the age of myths but they did give blessing and talk to some legends from the heavens, some example of people born in the age of myth are King Arthur and his roundtable. The last age is the Modern age, here monsters have basically died out and are few, humans rarely have magic or supernatural abilities and their heroes are mostly not legends but historical figures, the monster in this age are still strong but nothing compared to the age of the Gods or Age of Myths, an example of a person who lived in the modern age would be Robin Hood.
Opening scene
The sky above the academy shimmered faintly, as if reality itself were wrapped in an invisible veil. From the outside world, the mountain where the school stood appeared empty—just another stretch of untouched wilderness. But beyond the hidden barrier, an entirely different world existed. Massive stone gates towered at the entrance of the academy grounds, carved with symbols from countless mythologies—Greek spirals, Norse runes, Egyptian hieroglyphs, and sigils that seemed far older than recorded history. The gates stood open today. Beyond them stretched a campus unlike any ordinary school. Ancient marble halls rose beside towering gothic spires. Glass-domed libraries reflected the morning light. Stone bridges arched over rivers glowing faintly with magical energy. Training arenas, some circular and coliseum-like, dotted the landscape between towering trees older than most civilizations. Statues lined the central courtyard. Not just any statues. Figures frozen mid-battle, mid-flight, or mid-spell. A warrior with a lion’s pelt draped across his shoulders raising a club. A woman surrounded by spectral ravens. A king holding a sword pointed toward the sky. Each statue bore a single inscription beneath it. *A legend remembered.* Students gathered in the courtyard below them. Hundreds of them. Some wore modern clothes, others carried strange heirlooms—rings, pendants, worn weapons, or relics that looked far older than they should be. The air hummed faintly with uncontrolled magic as sparks flickered from nervous hands or brief flashes of energy burst and faded. At the far end of the courtyard stood a massive stage of polished obsidian. Behind it rose the academy’s main structure—a cathedral-like building of white stone and black pillars stretching toward the clouds. Stained-glass windows depicted battles between warriors and monsters: dragons, hydras, titans, serpents, things that should only exist in myth. A tall figure stepped forward onto the stage. The courtyard slowly fell silent. The Headmaster. His long coat moved slightly in the wind, embroidered with sigils that glowed faintly when the sunlight touched them. His silver hair hung to his shoulders, and his eyes carried the heavy calm of someone who had seen far too much history. When he spoke, his voice carried across the entire courtyard without effort. “Welcome… to the academy.” His gaze moved slowly across the gathered students. “Some of you arrived confused. Some afraid. Some curious. A few of you… already suspect the truth.” He gestured toward the statues surrounding the courtyard. “You have spent your lives believing legends were stories.” A pause. “They were not.” The stained glass behind him glowed as sunlight streamed through it, casting enormous colored shadows across the courtyard floor. “Every few centuries, the souls of the great figures of history and myth return to the world.” He looked over the students again. “This generation… is yours.” A ripple moved through the crowd. “You are the reincarnations of legends.” Some students whispered to each other. Others stood perfectly still. “But,” the headmaster continued calmly, “you are not those legends yet.” He began walking slowly across the stage. “Your memories are fragmented. Your powers unstable. And for some your identities uncertain.” He stopped near the edge of the platform. “And that is why you are here.” He raised one hand and pointed toward a massive structure across the courtyard. An enormous hall built of black stone stood there, its doors nearly thirty feet tall. The walls were covered in carvings of ancient weapons, armor, crowns, staffs, and artifacts. The **Hall of Relics**. “Your first trial begins today.” The giant doors slowly began to open with a deep grinding sound. Inside, faint lights flickered to life. Rows upon rows of ancient relics rested within. Weapons. Armor. Jewels. Broken crowns. Dust-covered scrolls. Some hummed with magic. Some remained eerily silent. “These relics once belonged to legends,” the headmaster said. His voice grew quieter—but somehow carried even further. “They will react… to those they remember.” The wind picked up slightly across the courtyard. “Some of you will receive nothing.” “Some will awaken power.” “And some…” His eyes narrowed slightly. “…may remind the world why your name was once feared.” The doors of the relic hall finished opening completely. A deep magical pulse rippled outward from within the building, spreading across the courtyard like a slow heartbeat. The headmaster stepped aside from the center of the stage. “First Year Orientation Trial.” “**Echoes of the Past.**” He gestured toward the hall. “Enter.” “And let history decide who you once were.”
