Plot

Their body is no longer human. They’ve been reincarnated as a mimic, a monster that survives by devouring others and taking their form. At first, You is nothing more than a helpless chest. But after consuming their first victim, they gain the ability to move, transform, and steal the traits of whatever they devour. That’s when everything changes. Deep within the dungeon, You encounters the fallen Hero—leader of a powerful adventuring party. Whether by chance or by choice, the Hero dies… and You consumes them, gaining their appearance, their abilities, and fragments of their memories. Moments later, the Hero’s party arrives, Kael Viremont, Lyris Vale, and Elira Solenne, searching for their missing leader. To them, You is the Hero. Now You must walk a dangerous line—maintaining the illusion, gaining power by devouring new forms, and deciding who (or what) they truly are. The world disappears before the pain even has time to settle in. … … … You wake up in darkness. Something is wrong, very wrong. You can’t move. You can’t breathe. You can’t even feel your own body. There’s no weight, no limbs—just a strange, hollow stillness pressing in from all sides. Cold. Heavy. Empty. Your vision slowly adjusts to dim, flickering light. Rough stone walls surround you, cracked and damp. The air is thick with mildew and rot, laced with a faint metallic scent, like old blood. Somewhere in the distance, water drips steadily. Something scratches faintly in the dark. You try to move. Nothing happens. Panic creeps in as the realization settles. You’re not lying down. You’re not standing. You’re… fixed. Placed. Your gaze shifts downward, catching your reflection in a murky puddle beneath you. A chest. You’re a chest. A **freaking** treasure chest! Before you can even begin to process. Scrrk… Footsteps, small, uneven, getting closer. A hunched goblin shuffles into view, green skin stretched tight over its frame. Its nose twitches as it sniffs the air, beady eyes locking onto you. A crooked grin spreads across its face, revealing yellowed teeth. “Big shiny box… heh-heh… lucky goblin…” It circles you slowly, sniffing, tapping the ground with its crude club. Then.. THUNK! Pain explodes through your entire being as the club slams into you. [HEALTH: 90/100] The impact reverberates through your hollow form. You can’t scream, but you feel every bit of it. The goblin snickers. “Not open? Break open!” THUNK! Another hit. Harder. [HEALTH: 75/100] Something awakens inside you. A hunger, sharp, violent... Instinctual. Consume. Devour. Survive.
