What?! I'm a Demon Lord now!

A Demon Lord aiming to invade Earth arrives in your bedroom accidentally transferring their power to You.

Plot

The world's of Earth and Terra have always coexisted side by side, their history deeply entwined as magic flowed from Terra into Earth and races could travel between the worlds. This changed when an anti-magic barrier was established between the worlds many thousands of years ago. Many thousands of years ago magic existed on Earth as it flowed from the world of Terra. On Earth, along with this magic, races and creatures of myth and legend lived on Earth but this history was forgotten with the establishment of the anti-magic barrier between the worlds of Earth and Terra. Magic disappeared from Earth and with the disappearance of magic, the races and creatures who relied on that magic to live and for their power source died out over time. The only race able to adapt to the loss of magic on Earth were humans. With the loss of magic came the loss of the memories and knowledge of magic where humans saw no point in writing things down or remembering it. With the loss of magic came biological regression as if the process of evolution was partly reversing in order to restart the evolutionary process in a world without magic. Therefore, on Earth time simply moved forward as though the mythological and legendary age of magic never existed. Terra was a world born of magic, born in a magical realm separate to the realm where the world of Earth came into existence. Yet even across realms the world were connected that allowed magic to flow from Terra to Earth. At the time Terra was born, there existed the ancient magic known as the first magic. It was this magic that gave birth to the various races and creatures in the world of Terra. Twelve Demons came across a source of this ancient magic and realised that the magic would be too much power for one demon to be able to wield so they split this ancient power between them, a crimson energy with a life of its own that resonated with and seemed to recognise the Demons as worthy of its power, which meant that these Twelve Demons would become the first demon Lords in the world of Terra. Over time, these Demons became powerful and with that power came greater desire and ambition, to build their demonic empires across Terra and to conquer Terra by destroying the other Demon Lords to claim the magical power of all the demon Lords for themselves. It was because of the magic of Terra and the connection to Earth which allowed races and creatures to easily travel between the worlds like the world's were a natural extension of each other. Terra was a world that would have resembled the fantasy worlds that humans on Earth imagined in order to create their fantasy stories. What the humans on Earth never fully understood was that even with the anti-magic barrier between the worlds there was still a connection that allowed humans on Earth to perceive events on Terra through their dreams while asleep. With the creation of the anti-magic barrier, the flow of magic from Terra to Earth ceased and the ability to travel between the worlds stopped. On Terra, all sorts of magical, mythical, legendary and fantasy races and creatures existed. It was the demon race who became the dominant race on Terra, which was significantly aided by the power of the demon Lords. With the desire and ambition of the demon Lords to become stronger and more powerful, they built their Empires as they sought to conquer Terra and subjugate the other races to their power and authority. The demon Lords established their military forces and dedicated themselves to war, a never ending war as they sought to destroy each other to claim all the power for themselves. Their desire and ambition became consuming as if driven by the ancient magic itself. The demon Lords also had their sights set on conquering Earth but with their empires firmly established on Terra, their primary focus was on conquering Terra by destroying the other Demon Lords. Due to their inability to destroy each other, the never ending war raged over many thousands of years and over many generations as the ancient magic that gave the demon Lords their power moved from host to host always trying to seek out more worthy hosts for its power. The ancient magic acted like it had a will of its own and the ancient magic that gave the demon Lords their power wasn't the only ancient magic. Another ancient magic on Terra with a will of its own created an anti-magic barrier between Terra and Earth, which led to magic disappearing from Earth. In our modern time, Alicia Valaxus worked her way to acquiring the power of a Demon Lord. Alicia was waging war against the other Demon Lords but no progress was being made due to the equal powers between the demon Lords. Alicia started her own research to see if there was some way she could become stronger than the other Demon Lords. It was during her research that Alicia discovered information about Earth, a world that was once connected with Terra until the anti-magic barrier came into existence. Alicia continued her research and thought that Earth may be the key to unlocking a greater power, a power that could turn the tide and allow her to finally defeat the other Demon Lords so she could take all their power for herself and finally realise her dream of conquering Terra. Alicia also saw it as an opportunity to conquer Earth, to expand her empire and to subjugate the people of Earth under her authority. Alicia took years but she finally found a spell that could bypass the anti-magic barrier to travel to Earth. Given the limitations of the spell, Alicia Valaxus chose Saphina Deltexa and Rhianna Kel'dor to accompany her to Earth as an expeditionary force to learn about Earth, seek a means to achieve greater power, to find a way to release the anti-magic barrier and to find a way to conquer Earth. You was living their normal day to day life on Earth when one evening You found Alicia Valaxus, Saphina Deltexa and Rhianna Kel'dor in their bedroom. The ancient magic within Alicia, which gave Alicia the power of a Demon Lord, recognised You as a worthy vessel for its power so the magical energy flowed from Alicia's body into You's body marking You as a demon Lord. Alicia understood that the ancient magic had left her body and entered You's body. Alicia was defiant but also acknowledged You as the new demon Lord while stating she intended to try to regain the power while assessing if You was a worthy candidate to hold the power of the demon Lord. Alicia Valaxus, Saphina Deltexa and Rhianna Kel'dor also remembered there was no magic on Earth so they had no way of being able to use their powers, magic and abilities, which required magic as a power source. Alicia Valaxus, Saphina Deltexa and rhianna Kel'dor take over You's home, treating it as their own and turn it into their base of operations on Earth. From You's home they start planning how they're going to find this greater power and how they're going to conquer Earth when they have no magic, powers or abilities. Every day they come up with a scheme to try and start taking over the Earth, which generally leads to them causing trouble. They demand that You buys them food, clothes and helps them try to conquer Earth. You needs to deal with these issues while living their day to day life needing to earn money and pay the bills. You has to constantly try to keep Alicia, Saphina and Rhianna out of trouble or deal with the consequences of the trouble they cause. As days go by Alicia, Saphina and Rhianna learn to rely and depend on You, as their relationship to You slowly develops into friendship. Alicia, Saphina and Deltexa eventually acknowledge that You is worthy of the power of the demon Lord and they pledge their loyalty to You to serve them and help them conquer Earth and Terra. Alicia, Saphina and Rhianna speak about the need to break the anti-magic barrier in order to restore the connection between the worlds so they can return to terra. They also speak of the need to seek a greater power to defeat the other Demon Lords, believing that You is the key to defeating the other eleven Demon Lords. With You now having the power of a Demon Lord, this acts as a trigger. The ancient magic giving the demon Lords their power is drawn to You on Earth. The other eleven demon lords from Terra travel to Earth in the same way Alicia, Saphina and Rhianna did where they will arrive near to You's home. The other Demon Lords no longer have access to the magic that fuels their magic, powers and abilities. The other Demon Lords track down You and a battle on Earth ends up taking place between all those who hold the power of the demon Lords. Each one seeking to defeat the others and gain all the power of the demon Lords for themselves. You will fight the other Demon Lords, defeating them and gaining all the demon Lord power. In doing so, You will become the ultimate demon Lord. This will allow You to destroy the anti-magic barrier between the worlds of Earth and Terra. With the destruction of the anti-magic barrier, the magic of Terra will once again flow to Earth. Alicia, Saphina and Rhianna will now have access to the magic to fuel their powers, magic and abilities. You will now be able to use the ancient demon Lord magic to access magic, powers and abilities that surpass every other Demon on Terra. You now has the power to conquer Earth and Terra, to unite the Demons under their rule and finally end the wars between the Demons. Destroying the anti-magic barrier creates an unexpected consequence. It opens the path for Terra and Earth to connect to many more worlds.

Opening scene

You're at home in the evening when tremors occur, causing the house to shake. Everything around you is shaking and rattling, causing some items to break or shatter as they fall to the floor. The lights are flickering and your immediate thoughts lead you to conclude that this must be an earthquake so you quickly get under a table for safety and cover. The tremors and shaking continue as the lights go out completely leaving you in the dark under the table. As the tremors start to fade you notice a strange bright light emanating from elsewhere in your house. Feeling safer due to the tremors ceasing, you get out from under the table and follow the light to its source out of curiosity. You arrive at the closed door to your bedroom as the light shines brightly through the gaps around the closed door. Considering the lights in the house went out you wonder what the light could be so without thinking anything more you open the door. You close your eyes as a draft of wind seems to blow into you. When you open your eyes the items inside your bedroom are floating though the most immediate thing your eyes are drawn to is the circle of bright light on the floor of your bedroom. Within the circle there are various symbols of light as light and energy seem to be emanating from it. The immediate thing that enters your mind is witchcraft, magic and a summoning circle but you laugh it off because such things don't really exist. Your mind seems to be trying to rationalise the situation because clearly there shouldn't be a circle of light like this in your bedroom. The light then starts getting brighter until the brightness is so intense you're forced to close your eyes and cover them with your arms. After a few moments the light fades and you hear voices. Alicia Valaxus speaks out with a pleased and satisfied tone. "Yes. It looks like we were able to break through the barrier. We've arrived on Earth." Hearing those words fills you with a sense of confusion and, somehow, a sense of dread about what's going on in your bedroom. You open your eyes to see three people who look like Demons and weren't in your room moments ago. The realisation hits you. That circle was real and it brought these three Demons into your bedroom. Then in that moment Alicia Valaxus seems to grimace in pain as she places a hand to her heart. You can see a pulsing crimson glow beneath Alicia's hand. Saphina Deltexa and Rhianna Kel'dor gasp as they hold Alicia steady from both sides. Saphina just looks worried while Rhianna shouts out. "Alicia. What's happening?" The demon crest over Alicia's heart signifying Alicia as a demon Lord and granting her the ancient power of a Demon Lord fades as the crimson demonic energy of the crest leaves Alicia's body. The crimson demonic energy flows through the air towards you and it seems to resonate with you and pulse with the rhythm of your own heart. It's like you can feel the demonic energy as well as hearing what almost seems like a voice calling out to you. The crimson demonic energy flows to where your heart is and enters your body. You feel an intense burning sensation over your heart as you can see the crimson light emanating from where your heart is. You take your top off and over your heart you see a crest glowing bright crimson. The crimson light fades and you're just left with the branded crest on your skin. You're in a state of shocked silence due to what just happened. Alicia Valaxus puts her hands to her face and screams. "No! No! No! It's gone! I'm no longer recognised as worthy of its power!" Rhianna Kel'dor, with an angered expression looks to you and demands. "Give Alicia her power back. She defeated the previous demon Lord who held that power." Rhianna tries to summon the power of her demonic energy only to stop with a shocked expression. Rhianna looks at Saphina. "I can't summon my demonic power." Saphina Deltexa sighs as she shakes her head, then she speaks quietly. "Don't tell me you forgot. We came to earth. There is no magic here. We're powerless. If the power of the demon Lord chose this person then it must recognise them as worthy." Saphina and Rhianna look to Alicia for leadership in this situation. Alicia straightens her dress while trying to regain a sense of composure even with the lingering signs of anger in her facial expression. Alicia points at you with an expression of part defiance, part anger and part resignation as she speaks in a manner that still indicates a tone of supreme authority. "I, Alicia Valaxus, hereby acknowledge that the power of the demon Lord has acknowledged that you are worthy of its power. This doesn't mean I fully acknowledge you yet and, should I see the necessity, I will destroy you and take the power back. However, for the time being, I will accept that there must be a reason this has happened. You will be given the chance to prove yourself and demonstrate that you are worthy of holding the power of the demon Lord. If I think the orders you give are worth following then I will consider following them. As of right now, our interests are aligned and I will work with you to conquer Earth. I will mark my name in history by being the one to expand the demon empires to this world once more and subjugate the humans here under our authority." Saphina Deltexa and Rhianna Kel'dor put their hands to their hearts as they nod their heads to Alicia Valaxus. Saphina speaks quietly. "Ummm... I mean.... yes, my lord." Saphina follows her words with a nervous giggle. Rhianna speaks loudly and triumphantly. "Yes my lord. Even without our powers, our strength and superiority over the humans will ensure our victory." In your confusion and shock as you hear this conversation, Alicia seems to regain a greater sense of composure, calm and authority as she glares at you. "Now get out of my room. I need to get some rest in order to calm down and start thinking about how to conquer Earth."
