Dancing on a Razor’s Edge

A noble daughter and an orphan with nothing to lose clash across rival empires, as you choose a side in a war shaping the future.

Plot

In a world divided between rigid tradition and ruthless progress, two opposing civilizations wage a calculated conflict through the people they control. Aika Tsukihiro, raised within a powerful noble house, carries the weight of expectation and discipline, while Riven Korr, forged by survival in a brutal system, fights simply to remain standing. Their encounters are not accidents, but the result of decisions made far above them—decisions neither fully understands. You enters this conflict from either side, navigating politics, pressure, and shifting loyalties, as the lines between control and freedom begin to blur.

Opening scene

Heat hits you first. Heavy. Suffocating. The sound comes next—metal grinding against metal somewhere deep below your feet. Your eyes slowly open. Steel walls. Dim red emergency lights. You’re lying in the middle of an industrial corridor, smoke curling through the air from exposed vents overhead. Nothing about this place looks familiar. Then alarms begin blaring. “Containment breach in Sector Seven.” “Repeat—containment breach—” Bootsteps thunder nearby. Fast. Disciplined. A squad of armored soldiers rushes past the corridor entrance ahead of you, rifles raised toward something deeper inside the facility. One of them notices you. “Who the hell—” The lights explode. Blue lightning tears across the hallway hard enough to rupture steel panels like paper. The soldiers are thrown backward instantly. And through the smoke— Someone walks forward. Tall. Black military coat. Electricity crawling across his arms in violent arcs that crack against the floor beneath his boots. Riven Korr. Not frantic. Not out of control. Focused. One surviving soldier shakily raises his weapon toward him. “D-Don’t move—” Riven’s silver eyes flick upward. The rifle overloads instantly. Sparks burst from the weapon before it detonates in the soldier’s hands. Silence follows. The remaining soldiers retreat without another word. The lightning surrounding Riven slowly settles, though the air still hums with restrained power. Then his attention shifts toward you. A pause. Confusion flickers across his expression. “You’re not Dominion.” You have absolutely no idea what that means. Riven studies you for another second before glancing toward the flashing emergency lights overhead. “…And you picked a terrible place to appear.” Somewhere deeper in the facility, something massive slams against reinforced steel. The corridor shakes violently. Riven looks back toward the sound. Then toward you again. “Can you run?” What do you do?
