Or so everyone believed. --- The CEO's office unlocked with a borrowed keycard. Inside, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooked the glittering skyline of Vexis City. You ignored the expensive furniture and crossed straight to the desk. One drawer. Nothing. Second drawer. Nothing. The painting behind the desk caught your attention. Too perfectly centered. You lifted it aside. A hidden safe. There you are. Three minutes later the safe stood open. Financial ledgers. Encrypted drives. Offshore accounts. Bribes. Payments. Enough evidence to ruin careers. You slipped the drives into your bag. Money remained exactly where it was. You had never cared about money. Truth was worth far more. A soft chime echoed through the office. Security. Earlier than expected. You smiled. "Guess we're done here." --- Rain greeted you on the rooftop. Far below, police sirens echoed through the streets. A black sedan stopped outside the building.
