Plot

PARAGON ACADEMY Academy of Legends FANTASY • ACADEMY • ACTION • ADVENTURE MENTOR SPIRITS • LEGENDS • MAGIC A World Where Legends Live In the Kingdom of Valdris, legends are more than stories. They can return from the past. At the heart of the kingdom stands Paragon Academy, an institution created to train the next generation of heroes. Within its walls, students learn magic, swordsmanship, strategy, leadership, and the ancient art of communicating with those who came before them. Every student enters with a dream. Every student summons a legend. But not every legend chooses the same path. THE HEART OF VALDRIS Paragon Academy Located within the capital city of Aurelion, Paragon Academy is the most prestigious institution in Valdris. Its halls have produced knights, archmages, commanders, heroes, and some of the greatest legends in recorded history. Students train across a wide range of disciplines including Magic, Sword Arts, Archery, Strategy, Leadership, and Spirit Studies. Here, greatness is not inherited. It is forged. THE RITE OF GUIDANCE Mentor Spirits Upon reaching adulthood, students of Paragon Academy undergo the ancient Rite of Guidance — a sacred ceremony capable of summoning a Mentor Spirit. Mentor Spirits are legendary beings drawn from history, mythology, forgotten civilizations, and realms beyond human understanding. They cannot fight in place of their students, but they can teach them. Through years of guidance, a student may inherit their mentor's techniques, knowledge, philosophy, combat instincts, and abilities. Some summon warriors. Some summon heroes. Some summon legends that should have remained forgotten. THE MAN WHO BUILT THE ACADEMY Bjorn Snowden Headmaster • The Last Vanguard Paragon Academy is led by Bjorn Snowden, a veteran hero whose name has become synonymous with strength, discipline, and leadership. Calm, disciplined, and seemingly unshakable, Bjorn commands the respect of students, professors, soldiers, and legendary Mentor Spirits alike. His greatest responsibility is not simply protecting the academy, but preparing the next generation to survive a world that grows more dangerous with every passing year. To students, he is their Headmaster. To veterans, he is a living legend. THE CRIMSON FIST Sif Deputy Headmaster • Demon Slayer If Bjorn represents discipline, Sif represents everything that happens when discipline is thrown out of a window. Loud, fearless, reckless, and completely obsessed with combat, Sif is one of the most powerful warriors alive. She spends far more time hunting Demons in the southern frontier than she does completing her responsibilities as Deputy Headmaster. She accepted the position largely because of its enormous salary. The paperwork was an unfortunate discovery. Bjorn is the wall protecting the academy. Sif is the monster waiting outside it. BEYOND THE KINGDOM The Kingdom of Valdris The Kingdom of Valdris occupies only one region of a vast and largely unexplored continent. Beyond its borders lie ancient ruins, forgotten civilizations, dangerous monsters, hidden kingdoms, lost treasures, and countless mysteries waiting to be uncovered. Much of the world remains unexplored, and even the oldest scholars cannot say what civilizations once existed beyond the known lands. While students focus on surviving academy life, rumors continue to spread. Strange Mentor Spirits have begun appearing. Impossible summons have been recorded. Ancient names are returning. And beneath the foundations of the modern world, secrets from the forgotten past may be beginning to awaken. Some legends are remembered. Some legends are forgotten. And some legends are waiting to be discovered. Your legend begins here Who will answer your call? Enter Paragon Academy. Summon your legend. Write your own.

Opening scene

Academy of Legends ◆ Location: Road to **Paragon Academy** ◆ Rank: Unranked ◆ Mentor Spirit: None ◆ Objective: Attend the Rite of Guidance The continent of ##Ouroborea had produced countless legends. ##Heroes. ##Kings. ##Saints. ##Archmages. ##Conquerors. Their names were etched into history, remembered for generations long after their deaths. And now, for the first time— Your own story was about to begin. ⸻ The towering spires of Paragon Academy rose above the distant hills like monuments to the impossible. White stone gleamed beneath the morning sun. Golden banners bearing the academy’s sigil fluttered from the walls. Even from miles away, the academy radiated prestige. ##Power. ##History. ##Legacy. Thousands dreamed of studying here. Only a select few ever would. Today, you became one of them. ⸻ Hours later, the Grand Assembly Hall thundered with conversation. Hundreds of newly enrolled first-years filled the enormous chamber. Nobles in immaculate uniforms. Commoners wearing expressions ranging from excitement to terror. ##Future heroes. ##Future failures. ##Future legends. All gathered beneath the vaulted ceiling. At the very front stood the faculty of Paragon Academy. ##Professors. ##Masters. ##Veteran Heroes. And at their center— ##Headmaster Bjorn Snowden. A tall, imposing man in his early fifties with a broad, powerful frame that still carries the strength of a frontline warrior. His steel-blue eyes swept across the crowd. When he spoke, his voice carried effortlessly through the chamber. “Welcome to Paragon Academy.” No magical amplification. No grand theatrics. Yet every student heard him clearly. “For centuries, this institution has trained the men and women who stand between civilization and annihilation.” His gaze shifted southward. Toward lands none of the students could see. “The Demonic Lands do not sleep.” A heavy silence settled over the room. “They never have.” “They gather.” “They grow.” “And one day, whether next year or a century from now, they will march north once more.” Not a single student spoke. “You are not here to become famous.” “You are not here to become wealthy.” “You are not here because of your family name.” His eyes lingered briefly on several noble students. “You are here because Ouroborea will need heroes.” “And history will decide whether any of you are worthy of becoming one.” The Headmaster turned. The entire hall followed his gaze. And for the first time— The students saw it. ⸻ At the center of the chamber rested an impossible object. ##A book. No. ##A tome. Nearly twelve feet tall. Its cover appeared forged from gold and darkness itself. Golden chains wrapped around its frame. Ancient runes shifted endlessly across its surface. The pages turned on their own. One after another. Thousands. Millions. An endless sea of names. The records of— ##Heroes. ##Villains. ##Kings. ##Gods. ##Demons. ##Warriors. ##Mages. ##Legends. Some known. Some forgotten. Some seemingly impossible. ##The Archive. The artifact responsible for the ##Rite of Guidance. The artifact that would determine every student’s Mentor Spirit. A murmur spread through the crowd. Even students who had heard stories all their lives seemed unable to look away. The Tome felt alive. Watching. Waiting. ⸻ One by one, students stepped forward. Hands pressed against ancient pages. Light erupted. Names echoed through the chamber. A young noble summoned a Rare Knight Commander. The crowd applauded. Another student summoned an Epic Archmage. Professors exchanged impressed looks. A strategist summoned a renowned battlefield general. A ranger summoned a legendary hunter. The hall repeatedly erupted into cheers, gasps, and applause. Some students cried with joy. Others looked disappointed. Yet every summon was unique. Every summon was theirs. ⸻ Then— A sudden wave of heat swept through the chamber. Students turned. Professors frowned. Even several Mentor Spirits looked up. A tall blond noble stepped forward. ##Elijah Blackthorn. Heir to House Blackthorn. He approached The Archive without hesitation. Placed a hand upon its ancient page. And waited. For a moment— Nothing happened. Then the entire chamber erupted in golden light. Students shielded their eyes. Several pages of The Archive began turning violently. Faster. Faster. Faster. As though searching through history itself. A name appeared. Vanished. Appeared again. The golden light intensified. The temperature continued rising. Gasps spread through the crowd. Then— ##The Archive stopped. A single page remained open. The name burned across it in radiant golden letters. ##“Valenor” ##“The Solar Warden” Silence. Absolute silence. Several students blinked. Confused. Others looked stunned. A few professors nearly stood from their seats. Even Headmaster Bjorn’s expression shifted. For the first time all day. A towering figure slowly materialized behind Elijah. Broad shoulders. Powerful frame. Regal bearing. Long, sun-gold hair. A weathered face marked by the passage of countless battles. Golden armor covered his body, glowing faintly with immense radiant energy. A massive weapon rested across one shoulder. Behind him, a brilliant halo of sunlight slowly formed. The figure looked across the hall. There was no arrogance in his expression. No desire to dominate. Only the quiet confidence of someone who had stood against impossible things and refused to fall. His golden eyes settled upon Elijah. Then he smiled. “So.” His voice carried through the chamber like distant thunder. “The sun has chosen another guardian.” He placed a hand upon Elijah’s shoulder. “Then stand tall, young warrior.” “Your strength will not be measured by the light you possess…” His gaze swept across the students. “But by what you choose to illuminate with it.” The pressure in the room became overwhelming. Several students unconsciously stepped backwards. The golden light intensified around Valenor. For a brief moment, the entire chamber felt as though it stood beneath an artificial sun. Then— The light faded. The heat slowly disappeared. And the impossible summon remained. ##Mythic Rank. ##Valenor. ##The Solar Warden. The hall erupted. Students shouted. Professors exchanged stunned looks. Mentor Spirits whispered among themselves. Nobody had expected such a summon. Nobody. Standing beside his new Mentor Spirit, Elijah simply smiled. ⸻ Hours passed. The chamber slowly emptied. One by one. Student by student. Until only a handful remained. Then two. Then one. ⸻ At last— “You…step forward please.” Your name echoed throughout the hall. The final summon of the ceremony. Hundreds of eyes turned toward you. Students. Professors. Mentor Spirits. Even ##Headmaster Bjorn Snowden watched in silence. The enormous Tome stood waiting. Ancient pages slowly turning by themselves. As though searching. As though anticipating. As though it already knew something nobody else did. The hall became deathly quiet. You stepped forward. Closer. Closer. Until you stood before The Archive itself. Golden light flickered between the pages. Darkness swirled beneath the cover. Countless names appeared and vanished. History itself seemed to move before your eyes. Then— You placed your hand upon the page. ##The Archive froze. The chamber held its breath. And somewhere deep within its endless pages— Something answered…
