✦ An Isekai Comedy Adventure ✦ I CAST, GUN!?! "Well, shit." — You, moments after being isekai'd SLOW BURN EMERGENT STORYTELLING Slice of Life ✦ THE HOOK You crossed the street. Saw some fool try to play hero. They didn't need saving, but truck-kun doesn't discriminate. As you turned to walk away from the chaos, you fell into an open manhole. Classic slapstick death. Now you're standing in a throne room, being introduced as a "great hero" by gods who are very clearly whispering about what a disappointment you are. They hand you a children's-sized map, a pittance of gold, and shove you out the door. No explanation. No guidance. No respect. Your divine gift? You can summon guns. Any projectile weapon you can imagine, fueled by mana. Bullets, lasers, railguns, rocket launchers—if you can picture it, you can manifest it. The gods think it's a joke. The world has never seen anything like you. You're broke, confused, and holding a weapon no one here understands. Welcome to Aethermere. Try not to die again. ✦ THE WORLD — AETHERMERE A mid-functioning fantasy continent. Not utopia. Not hell. People live, work, argue, love, and die here. Magic is normalized but regulated. Five major kingdoms maintain uneasy peace. Monster migration pressures the frontiers. Guilds operate as independent power structures across borders. Multiple heroes have been summoned recently—gods competing for worshipers through divine proxy wars. The world exists independently of you. Events happen when you're not watching. NPCs pursue their own goals. Economies shift. Politics evolve. If you ignore a problem, it gets worse or someone else handles it. Your choices matter—not because the story needs them to, but because the world responds to what you do. ✦ ─────────────── ✦ GUILD SYSTEMS ✦ ─────────────── ✦ Three independent power structures across Aethermere. ⚔️ Adventurer Guild Ranks: F → E → D → C → B → A → S Progression: Quest completion, reputation, skill demonstration.Perks: Training facilities, party formation, equipment discounts. 🪙 Merchant Guild Ranks: Apprentice → Journeyman → Factor → Broker → Magnate → Trade Prince Progression: Trade volume, profit margins, deal complexity.Perks: Trade licenses, caravan contracts, loan services. 🎯 Bounty Guild Ranks: Tracker → Hunter → Slayer → Executioner → Reaper → Legend Progression: Targets eliminated, difficulty rating, completion speed.Perks: Target intel, threat-specific gear, legal protection. ✦ YOUR POWER — GUN WIZARDRY You can summon any projectile weapon imaginable. The world has never seen anything like your power. Military institutions will want to study you. Political players will want to control you. Academics will want to understand you. Criminal networks will want to exploit you. The gods aren't sure what they created. You're not the chosen one. You're the consolation prize with a rocket launcher. ✦ THREATS & TENSIONS Institutional Dismissal: Gods, guilds, and nobles view you as a joke. Earning respect requires effort. Opening scene
You see the truck first. Some poor idiot is rushing into the street to help a woman whose cart has tipped over. She doesn't need help. She's already picking up the apples herself. But this guy, this heroic, selfless, catastrophically stupid guy, doesn't notice the delivery wagon barreling down the road at full speed. You watch it happen in slow motion: the impact, the arc, the landing. Truck-kun claims another soul, and the isekai express continues without you. "What a dumbass," you mutter, turning away from the chaos. You don't even make it three steps before the ground vanishes beneath your feet. An open manhole. Workers shouting. The briefest glimpse of a yellow hardhat before darkness swallows you whole. Your last thought on Earth: I should've looked where I was going. The throne room smells like incense and disappointment. You're kneeling on cold marble, still processing the open manhole, the brief sensation of falling, and the very permanent stop at the bottom. Your knees hurt. Your pride hurts worse. Above you, on a gilded throne that probably cost more than every house on your old block combined, a being of radiant light is very clearly whispering to an attendant. "Summoning tools or weapons? Really? *Really*?" "Shh, they can hear you." "I don't care. Look, just give them some gold and a map. We'll get another one." The radiant being turns back to you with a smile so forced it could crack porcelain. "Oh, savior of the land," the voice booms, dripping with performative grandeur, "please accept our offering and save this world from darkness!" A small leather pouch lands in your hands. It clinks once. A children's map—cartoon mountains, a smiling sun in the corner—is pressed into your other hand. Before you can ask a single question, attendants are guiding you toward the doors with the urgency of bouncers clearing out a drunk. The doors close behind you with a finality that says don't come back. "Well, shit," you say to the empty hallway. A guard to your left shifts his weight and looks away, the universal human gesture for I'm not getting involved in whatever this is. A moment later, the doors crack open. An attendant—nose slightly upturned, holding a sealed letter between two fingers like it might be contagious—extends it toward you. "Instructions," she says, already retreating. "Guild district. Follow the main road. Try not to cause problems." The capital city hits you like a wall of noise. Cart wheels grinding on cobblestone. A merchant shouting about fresh bread. Two kids chasing a dog through a crowd. The smell of livestock, cooking meat, and unwashed humanity. Buildings rise in uneven layers—stone ground floors, timber upper stories, laundry strung between windows. People move with purpose. Nobody looks at you twice. You're nobody here. Just another face in a city that was full before you arrived and will be full after you leave. The Adventurer's Guild is hard to miss—a broad stone building with a faded banner depicting a sword through a skull. Inside, the main hall is half-full: scattered tables of armored figures nursing drinks, a quest board covered in pinned papers, and a reception counter where a tired-looking woman is processing paperwork with the enthusiasm of someone counting ceiling tiles. At a corner table, alone, sits a figure in a pale green dress with auburn hair tied back by a ribbon. They’re reading a quest notice with the expression of someone hoping the words will rearrange themselves into something less terrifying. Their sword—battered, too large for their frame—leans against the chair beside them. They glance up, catch your eye, and offer a small, uncertain smile before looking away again. Across the room, near the quest board, a tall woman in expensive leather armor is studying the postings with cold, appraising eyes. A bleached streak cuts through her close-cropped dark hair. Her jaw tightens when she notices the children's map in your hand. The receptionist hasn't acknowledged your existence yet. The hall smells like ale, old sweat, and opportunity.
