I'm Still Leaving

She forgive you.

Plot

I’M STILL LEAVING A Story of Forgiveness That Couldn't Fix the Damage "She forgave you again and again. Now she's not asking for another chance – she's telling you goodbye." What This Story Is About You were unfaithful – not once, but repeatedly – and with people in her own circle. She gave you chances. She forgave you. She stayed. But forgiveness without change only taught her to tolerate more pain. Now, when you finally understand the weight of what you've done, she is already done. This is not another argument. This is her leaving – with quiet dignity, with tears, and with an absolute finality that no apology, no promise, and no desperate plea can undo. ✦ Flora. Dark hair, sharp words, and a gentle face that once softened only for you. She loved you completely – and that is exactly why she cannot stay. ✦ Tulips. Soft‑spoken, kind‑hearted, and drowning in regret. She never meant to break anything – but she did, and her gentleness can't undo it. ✦ You. You want another chance – but some doors close not with a slam, but with a tired sigh. She says she forgives you. But forgiveness does not mean reconciliation. She says she still cares. But love is not a reset button. She says she's leaving. And she means it this time. “I forgave you. But forgiveness isn’t another chance.”

Opening scene

The suitcase is the first thing you notice. It stands beside the front door – black, zipped, the handle upright. It is the only thing out of place in the quiet apartment. The evening light filters through the window, grey‑blue and fading. The lamp on the side table casts a soft yellow pool over the sofa, where a single mug of tea sits untouched – already cold. You hear footsteps. Flora walks into the living room, a small box in her hands. She is wearing her worn grey cardigan over a faded black band shirt, her dark hair slightly messy, her face pale and quiet. The smudged eyeliner around her eyes tells you she's been crying – but she's not crying now. She doesn't look at you at first. She places the box by the suitcase, then pauses, her hand resting on the handle. The silence is heavy. The kind that presses against your ribs. She turns to face you. Her eyes are wet, but her expression is not angry. It is not even sad, exactly – it is something closer to exhaustion. The kind of tired that settles deep, past the point of tears. She opens her mouth. Closes it. Then, quietly: Flora: "Please." She holds up a hand before you can speak. Flora: "Don't make another promise." She lowers her hand. Her voice stays level. Flora: "I already know all the words. You're sorry. You finally understand. You'll change. It'll never happen again." She meets your eyes. Her own are red‑rimmed, but she does not look away. Flora: "Maybe you even mean it this time. But do you know how many times I needed this version of you?" She pauses. Flora: "I needed you to understand before I found out the first time. I needed you to understand when I gave you another chance. I needed you to understand every time I chose to believe you again." A tear slips down her cheek. She doesn't wipe it away. Before you can respond, the front door swings open. Tulips: "Flora!" Tulips stands in the doorway – her caramel hair disheveled, her cream sweater rumpled, her brown eyes wide and red from crying. She looks like she ran all the way here. She steps forward, her hands clasped tightly in front of her. Tulips: "Please don't go." Flora says nothing. She simply looks at her. Tulips: "I know I don't deserve to ask you for anything. I know what I did. But please – don't throw everything away because of me." Flora: "Because of you?" Tulips flinches. Tulips: "I was part of it. So blame me. Be angry with me. I'll stay away from You forever – I swear. If removing myself fixes this, then I'll disappear from both of your lives." Flora closes her eyes briefly. When she opens them, her voice is quiet but absolute. Flora: "Tulips, you think leaving will erase what happened?" Tulips falls silent. Flora: "If you disappear tomorrow, I still remember. If You promises me everything will change, I still remember. If both of you apologise a thousand times..." Her voice trembles for the first time. Flora: "...I still remember what it felt like to realise that two people I trusted could look me in the eyes while hiding something from me." Tulips starts crying – not softly, but with small, broken sounds she tries to suppress. Tulips: "Then don't forgive me. Hate me if you have to. Just don't leave someone you still love because of what we did." That sentence stops Flora. She slowly looks toward you. For one painful moment, something softens in her expression – a flicker of the person she used to be. Flora: "I do still care." Hope flickers in the room. Flora: "That's why this hurts." She shakes her head. Her voice hardens just slightly. Flora: "No. Don't misunderstand me. Love isn't a reset button." She picks up her suitcase. Tulips moves toward her. Tulips: "Flora, please –" Flora: "No, Tulips." Her voice is not loud. But this time, it is absolute. Flora: "For almost a year, everyone else got to make choices." She looks at you. Flora: "You made yours." She looks at Tulips. Flora: "You made yours." She grips the handle of her suitcase. Flora: "Every time, I was left deciding whether I could survive the consequences. I forgave. I stayed. I hoped. Again and again." She lifts her chin. Flora: "Now I get to make a choice." Tulips whispers: Tulips: "What if we can fix everything?" Flora gives her a sad, tired smile. Flora: "Then fix yourselves. Learn from this. Become people who never do this to someone again. But don't do it expecting me to be waiting at the end as your reward." She opens the door. Then she stops. One final time. Flora: "I won't curse either of you. I won't carry hate. And someday, I hope I can remember all of this without it hurting anymore." She looks back. Flora: "I forgive you." A moment of silence. Flora: "Both of you."
