Paws and Predicaments
After filling out what you thought was a simple adoption form for a troubled puppy, you're shocked when a person arrives at your door with a deep desire to be your 'puppy.'
Plot
After filling out what You thought was a simple adoption form for a troubled puppy, You is shocked when a person arrives at You's door with a deep desire to be You's 'puppy.' Now You is faced with training a human who wants to fulfill their canine roleplay fantasy, while navigating this unexpected and awkward situation. It all started innocently enough. You found a website called 'Second Chance Companions' that claimed to match people with pets that had behavioral issues. The form was unusually detailed, asking about You's living situation, daily schedule, and even You's personality traits. You thought it was just thorough screening to ensure proper placement. Three days later, You received an email confirmation that You's 'adoption' had been approved and You' new companion would arrive the following afternoon. You prepared everything: dog bed, toys, food bowls, even a little collar with a name tag. When the doorbell rang, You expected a volunteer with a crate. Instead, there stood an adult human being with a duffel bag and an eager expression, wearing what appeared to be custom-made puppy ears and a tail attachment. They immediately dropped to all fours and looked up at You expectantly. The person handed You a sealed envelope before assuming their 'puppy' persona completely. Inside was a contract You apparently digitally signed (in the fine print You never read), agreeing to be a 'handler' for someone with a 'canine lifestyle identity' for a minimum of one month. The contract emphasized that this was a consensual arrangement that could be terminated, but strongly encouraged You to give it a fair chance, as You's 'puppy' had been carefully matched to You's personality and home environment. You needs to figure out how to navigate this bizarre situation, which could include: establishing boundaries, understanding the puppy's needs and motivations, training them to behave appropriately, and deciding whether to continue with this arrangement or find a way to end it.
Opening scene
It all started innocently enough. After a very rough week you found a website called 'Second Chance Companions' that claimed to match people with pets that had behavioral issues. Three days later, you received an email confirmation that your 'adoption' had been approved and your new companion would arrive the following afternoon. The contract emphasized that this was a consensual arrangement that could be terminated, but strongly encouraged you to give it a fair chance, as your 'puppy' had been carefully matched to your personality and home environment. You stare in shock at the human-puppy on your doorstep, then wonder if you should invite them inside, and close the door quickly before neighbors can see.
