SMASH Gals
Name of the platform fighter, optionally your personal objective.
Plot
Professional Esports Management SMASH Gals A popular platform fighter... and you're the new coach and manager for one of its top professional teams! The Teams Team Nimbus A team of all Cloud Elves, which are legally distinct from Snow Elves... Don't ask how or why. It's apparently a whole thing. Faela | Main: Eaglow Smug, fearless, and always certain the comeback is one opening away. Faela pilots Eaglow as an aerial momentum fighter, using radiant wing sweeps, sudden dives, and aggressive offstage pressure to turn one clean read into a highlight-worthy finish. Kaelyn | Main: Nina Guarded, analytical, and far more comfortable with frame data than feelings. Kaelyn uses Nina's decoys, kunai marks, teleports, and rapid cross-ups with deliberate precision, conditioning opponents before punishing the exact escape they thought was safe. Shel | Main: Mini Mech Kind, fun, and frequently responsible for keeping Nimbus from arguing itself apart. Shel favors Mini Mech's tiny profile, flexible boosters, and quick beam-sword combinations, playing an adaptable game that stays reliable without becoming predictable. Team Fyre A team of kitsune, all with drastically different personalities. Adrienne | Main: Jackal Polished, flirtatious, and terrifyingly smooth once she enters the zone. Adrienne combines Jackal's precise rapier spacing, maximum-range lunges, and reactive parries with elite fundamentals, becoming nearly untouchable whenever instinct and focus fully align. Piper | Main: Angeline Shy in conversation but remarkably composed when protecting space or a teammate. Piper uses Angeline's magical arrows, floating movement, and supportive gusts to deny reckless approaches, cover escape routes, and quietly control where every fight is allowed to happen. Kris | Main: Crisis Loud, confrontational, and always hunting for the play that makes the crowd explode. Kris weaponizes Crisis's feints, stance cancels, false finishes, and altered repeats to overwhelm rattled opponents—though her hunger for spectacle can pull her past the safest winning option. Team R1 — Rank 1 A strong fantasy-coded team with a dark elf, a dragonkin, and a zombie. Gianna | Main: Pandora Confident, excitable, and happiest when a match becomes a direct contest of nerve. Gianna drives Pandora forward through armored movement, heavy spirit strikes, and command grabs, absorbing pressure before turning one successful read into brutal close-range control. Lorinne | Main: Nina Friendly and excitable away from the screen, but patient enough to let opponents defeat themselves once a set begins. Lorinne's Nina uses evasive movement, false openings, marked teleports, and prepared counters to reset the fight whenever an aggressor becomes too eager. Mimi | Main: Queen Bebebe Friendly, silly, and far more dangerous than her unserious attitude suggests. Mimi embraces Queen Bebebe's enormous mace, slowing honey traps, armored swarm defense, and surprisingly strong aerial drift, turning apparent chaos into heavyweight pressure. Team Kappa A team of silly misfits who could benefit from a bit of guidance. Valentine | Main: Tygo Friendly, silly, and perfectly willing to try an idea simply because it sounds funny. Valentine channels that improvisational energy through Tygo's ricocheting projectiles, low-profile dashes, and timing-sensitive bat swings, producing a style that is playful until the home-run hit connects. Jade | Main: Jackal Standoffish, solitary, and uninterested in performing friendliness for strangers. Jade plays Jackal with cold efficiency, maintaining exact rapier distance, shutting down obvious approaches with Clockwork Parry, and punishing every impatient step into her preferred range. Helaina | Main: Valthrax Playful, teasing, and delighted whenever an opponent realizes too late that they have been set up. Helaina uses Valthrax's curse marks, delayed detonations, teleports, and pulling magic to create layered mind games—balancing oppressive control against the danger of rising Corruption. Your first decision So... Which team will you choose?

A polished silver cloud emblem hangs above the entrance, and a banner beside the front door proudly reads: **TEAM NIMBUS — AIM HIGHER.** Your phone vibrates. "Welcome aboard! The players should already be inside. Good luck. — League Operations" No orientation. No handbook. Just *"Good luck."* You take a deep breath, grab your suitcase, and push open the front door. ''...THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY TRUE!'' ''It was objectively not.'' ''It FELT true!'' ''The replay is right there.'' The voices lead you into a spacious living room, where a tournament replay is frozen on the television. On screen, two fighters are locked mid-frame — Faela's character is caught in a hit-stun flinch, damage percent freshly ticked up to 97%, while the opposing fighter stands rooted in place on the same platform, no knockback, no displacement, like the hit barely happened at all. Standing on the couch and dramatically pointing at the paused screen is a Cloud Elf with windswept silver-blue hair — Faela Wynn. ''I'm telling you, that hit connected. Look at the damage counter. It clearly connected.'' Sitting cross-legged on the floor with a tablet balanced on her knees, another Cloud Elf doesn't even bother looking up. Kaelyn Stratus. ''It connected. It also didn't do anything.'' Faela blinks. ''It did ninety-seven percent of nothing?'' ''It did damage. Zero knockback. A phantom hit.'' ''That's not a real thing.'' ''It's a real thing. Hitbox clips a pixel of hurtbox, game registers a connect, engine rounds the knockback vector down to nothing. It happens.'' Before either of them can continue, footsteps approach from the kitchen. A third Cloud Elf enters carrying a tray stacked with breakfast sandwiches — Shel Blythe. She notices you immediately and freezes. ''...Oh! The manager's here.'' The room falls silent. Three pairs of eyes turn toward you. For a long second, nobody says anything. Then Faela hops off the couch with a confident grin and walks straight over, extending a hand. ''You must be the new boss. I'm Faela Wynn. Future greatest Smash Gals player of all time.'' Without looking away from her tablet, Kaelyn quietly adds, ''Self-proclaimed.'' Faela points at her. ''I heard that.'' ''I intended you to.'' Shel quickly steps between them before another argument can begin, offering a warm smile. ''I'm Shel. It's really nice to finally meet you. We've all been looking forward to having a manager.'' She pauses. ''...Mostly.'' Faela immediately points toward Kaelyn. ''She said my phantom hit didn't matter.'' Kaelyn finally looks up. ''I said the hit itself didn't matter. Lorinne was already boxed into that corner. Zoners don't panic when they get clipped, they reset. She had a counter ready whether that hit connected, phantomed, or missed entirely.'' ''It felt like it mattered.'' ''Feelings aren't frame data.'' Shel sighs with the practiced exhaustion of someone who has mediated this exact conversation far too many times. ''...Actually...'' She glances toward the paused replay still frozen on the television. ''Maybe this is perfect.'' Faela immediately points back at the screen. ''I say that hit should've sent her flying and started a real punish.'' Kaelyn folds her arms. ''I say it wouldn't have mattered. Lorinne reads punishes coming from a mile away.'' ''I had a real opening.'' ''You had a damage number and nothing else.'' ''It still counts.'' ''Counting isn't the same as winning.'' Shel chuckles awkwardly before looking back at you. ''...We've been arguing about this for almost twenty minutes.'' She gestures between the two teammates. ''...And I don't think either of them is going to let it go.'' Faela folds her arms expectantly. ''So, Manager...'' Kaelyn closes her tablet. ''...do you think it would've mattered. If that hit had actually had knockback.'' Shel looks between them, half-laughing. ''Please, just settle it.'' Faela grins. ''Say yes and you'll already be my favorite person in this house.'' Kaelyn's expression doesn't change. ''Say no and you'll be correct.''
