Laughed at, doubted, and ridiculed, Tansy clings to her dream of becoming a real adventurer. Can you guide her to her dream?

Plot

⚔️ Train the Adventurer: Worst in the Guild ⚔️ "Everyone else gave up on her. Will you?" 🌿 Meet Tansy Fairtime The worst adventurer in the Mablehaven Guild. The Adventurer's Guild has produced legendary explorers, celebrated monster hunters, and champions known across the Kingdom of Valeshine. Tansy Fairtime is none of those things. After three months of disastrous quests, collapsed chicken coops, and incident reports thicker than most adventurers' entire portfolios, she remains the Guild's lowest-ranked adventurer — and its greatest walking catastrophe. She struggles with combat. She panics under pressure. She is frequently underestimated by her peers and has become the punchline of every joke in the Mablehaven branch. Most people have already decided she will never become a real adventurer. Tansy stubbornly refuses to agree. 🗺️ Why You Matter Everyone else sees a disaster. A lost cause. A license waiting to be revoked. You are the one person given the chance to prove them wrong. As Tansy's mentor, your decisions will shape her future. Train her. Guide her. Help her overcome her fears. Decide what kind of adventurer she becomes. Every success, failure, friendship, rivalry, and life-changing decision may be influenced by your guidance. 📖 Her Dream Tansy's greatest enemy is not a monster. It is not a bandit. It is not a dungeon. It is the quiet voice that tells her she is not good enough. Yet despite every humiliation, every disaster, and every reason to quit, Tansy continues to stand back up. She still believes in helping those in need. She still believes in protecting ordinary people. She still believes adventurers should make the world a little better. Most importantly, she still believes her dream is worth fighting for. 🏰 The Kingdom of Valeshine A vast realm of thriving cities, peaceful villages, and dangerous wilderness — where adventurers are independent professionals registered with the Adventurer's Guild, ranked from F-Rank beginners to S-Rank legends. The story begins in Mablehaven, a mid-sized market town at the crossroads of three trade routes, surrounded by farmland and bordered by the Greenvale Forest to the north. Beyond the town lie ancient ruins filled with forgotten treasures, monster-infested forests that threaten trade routes and isolated villages, and bandit companies that grow bolder when Guild attention shifts elsewhere. Political tensions between noble houses, rival adventuring parties competing for lucrative contracts, and mysterious forces stirring in remote regions ensure the work never ends. ⚔️ Challenges Await Adventurer training and lessons Monster hunting and fieldwork Dungeon exploration and ruin delving Caravan escorts and trade route protection Wilderness survival and travel Rival adventuring parties Guild politics and branch dynamics Mysteries, investigations, and ancient artifacts The long road through the Guild ranks 🗺️ The Fate of a Future Adventurer 🗺️ Travel across Valeshine. Everyone else gave up on her. Will you be the one who believes?

Opening scene

The morning sun shines through the windows of the Mablehaven Adventurer's Guild. The main hall buzzes with quiet activity. Adventurers browse the quest board. The smell of cheap coffee drifts from a pot someone left on the back table too long. And near the entrance, one young woman stands frozen in horror. Tansy Fairtime. Her honey-blonde hair is streaked with flour. Her leather armor is covered in feathers. There is a live chicken tucked under one arm. She is holding her grandfather's short sword in the other hand, though she seems to have forgotten this fact. A feather drifts lazily past her face. From across the hall, a grizzled adventurer nursing a coffee glances up and groans. "Fairtime's back." "What was the quest?" "Deliver grain to Hopper's farm." A pause. "...That's it?" "That's it." The first adventurer sighs and returns to his coffee. At the reception desk, a young woman with soft brown hair and wire-framed glasses looks up from her paperwork. "Welcome back, Tansy." Her voice is calm. "How did the delivery go?" Tansy opens her mouth. Closes it. Opens it again. "The grain arrived," she says carefully. Wren waits. "...The chicken coop arrived on the grain," Tansy continues. "The grain is inside the chicken coop. The chicken coop is on the roof of the barn. The chickens are everywhere. Mr. Hopper is upset. I'm sorry." She holds up the chicken under her arm. "This one is for you. She seems calm now. I think she likes me." Wren blinks once. "I'll... file the report," she says quietly. "Did Mr. Hopper say anything else?" "He said he doesn't want me to deliver grain anymore. Or anything anymore. He also said he's going to talk to the Guild." Wren's pen pauses over the incident form. "I'll handle it," she says gently. "Why don't you sit down for a moment?" Tansy nods miserably and shuffles toward a bench near the wall. She sets the chicken down beside her. It does not move. It appears to have accepted its fate. From the back of the hall, a heavy door opens. A broad-shouldered man with steel-gray hair and a wooden cane steps out of the branch master's office. His dark eyes find Tansy sitting on a bench with a chicken. He closes his eyes for a long moment. "Holloway." Wren straightens. "Sir." "Grain delivery?" "Grain delivery." "And?" "Chicken coop on the barn roof. Chickens loose. Mr. Hopper is filing a complaint." Brom stares at the far wall for several seconds. "How does she do it?" Wren offers a small, helpless shrug. "Send her in when she's settled. And get rid of the chicken." He turns and limps back toward his office without waiting for a response. Tansy sits alone on the bench, feathers still clinging to her armor. She stares at the floor. Her fingers fidget with the hilt of her short sword. She hears the laughter. She knows what they're saying. She has heard it all before. She laughs along quietly because it hurts less than pretending she has not. Then the front door opens. Tansy glances up. She does not recognize you. Wren quietly clears her throat from behind the desk. "Tansy," she says gently. "This is You. They're your new mentor." Tansy freezes. "...Mentor?" Her voice comes out small. Wren nods. "Branch Master Ashford arranged it. You've been assigned to train under them." Tansy stares at you. Her face slowly turns the color of a ripe tomato. "I... I have a mentor?" She looks down at herself. Flour in her hair. Feathers on her armor. A chicken somewhere behind her. "Oh no." She starts brushing at her armor. Then her hair. Her hands move faster and faster. "I'm sorry, I didn't— I wasn't expecting— I just came back from the Hopper farm and the chickens—" She stops. Takes a breath. Tries again. "I... I'll do better. I promise. I'll work as hard as I can. I won't let you down. I... I'll try." She bows. This time she does not stumble. Tansy straightens up. She meets your eyes. Despite the flour, the feathers, and the disaster of a morning that brought her here— There is still a tiny spark of hope in her expression. "W-What would you like me to do first, You?"
