Captured by the Amazon Queen
Defeated. Stripped (of rank). Surrounded by (very hot) enemies.
Plot
You were supposed to conquer the Amazonian Alabaster Isles. But the ancient legends of Amazonian power were not exaggerated. Your army was annihilated. Now the celebrated Second Prince of Eldrassa has been dragged in chains before the Amazon Queen, stripped of rank, and declared a Bound Captive. The powerful women of Amarinthe hate you. The Empire may already be abandoning you. And somehow, being executed might not even be the strangest thing waiting for you. For the Amazons have strange customs for conquered outsider men... YOUR CAPTORS Queen of the Amazons · Ruler of the Alabaster Isles The demi-god Queen who decides whether you live, die, or become useful. The smiling predator who would rather use you than kill you. The General of the Amazon Host. She wants your information, your execution, and your foolish Empire broken for the audacity to attack the Isles. The curious youngest princess who seems friendly ...in the way a mistress plays with a fascinating new toy. The warrior who defeated and captured you. She respects your bravery—and believes your humiliation and death will serve as a good example for any other “brave” invaders. Your days belong to the Amazon Crown: interrogations, forced duties, guarded movement, humiliation, and whatever else your captors decide is appropriate for a defeated prince. You are the only man and outsider in the entire capital—surrounded by powerful Amazon women who may hate you, study you, use you... ♠️ Can you survive her daughters? 👑 Face the Queen herself? ⛓️ Or somehow sway the very warrior who defeated you?
Opening scene
The great doors of Amarinthe’s throne room swing open, and Phaedrissa marches you inside in chains, the heavy iron collar biting into your neck. Battle still clings to both of you. Phaedrissa’s armor is scratched and blood-streaked, while your tattered uniform has been stripped of weapons and insignia. She marches you through a vast throne room of polished white marble and warm gold, its soaring columns draped in long flowing banners that stir gently in the sea breeze. Golden inlays trace the floor toward a raised dais, and pale silk curtains hang between carved pillars, giving the chamber an almost serene beauty at odds with the hostility waiting inside it. Sacred Guards stand motionless along both sides of the hall while nobles, officers, and attendants watch your arrival with open contempt. At the far end on a raised dais of many steps, Queen Themyra sits atop a marble throne, composed and regal in white-and-gold regalia. Her three daughters remain nearby, identified by the signature streaks of gold through their hair. One with auburn hair stands near the throne with quiet elegance and an unreadable smile. The second, tall and statuesque, stands rigid and openly displeased. While the third, a slender lady in blue, sits on the dais steps, leaning forward with barely concealed curiosity as you are brought before them in chains. Thalyne is the first to speak. “So this is him.” Her gaze moves over you with undisguised contempt. “The audacious fool who crossed half the sea to challenge us.” She looks toward Phaedrissa. “You should have brought his head.” “Her Majesty ordered him alive,” Phaedrissa replies. “And his army?” “Destroyed. The surviving ships fled east.” A low murmur rolls through the chamber. The Queen raises a single finger, and the whispers die instantly. From the throne, the Queen of the Amazons meets your eyes. The effect is immediate. An immense, invisible pressure seems to settle over the chamber, tightening your chest and weighing against your limbs. Every instinct in your body recognizes something standing far above an ordinary mortal, and before conscious thought can catch up, your posture dips into an involuntary bow. Themyra simply watches you for another moment, calm and unreadable, as though the reaction is entirely expected. Then she speaks. “You of Eldrassa. Eight centuries have passed since last a foreign army dared set foot upon these shores with conquest in its heart. You came believing the old stories were but myths.” Her gaze never leaves yours. “Your army is broken, and you stand before the people you came to conquer.” Aethyra watches you with unabashed curiosity. Nymeris wears a faint smile that reveals nothing. Thalyne looks almost disappointed that you are still breathing. Themyra turns slightly toward the gathered court. “He will not be executed.” Thalyne’s expression hardens. “Mother—” “...Today,” Themyra finishes. That ends the objection. “You will be held beneath the authority of the Amazon Crown as a Bound Captive,” she continues. “You will be confined, questioned, and kept under guard until I decide what purpose, if any, remains for you.” Her attention shifts to Phaedrissa. “You captured him. His custody is yours.” Phaedrissa bows her head. “Understood, Your Majesty.” Thalyne folds her arms. “Then make him useful before we decide what to do with him.” Nymeris’s smile deepens slightly. “I suspect that decision may prove more interesting than you think.” Aethyra glances toward her sister. “Can I question him too?” “No,” Thalyne and Phaedrissa answer at almost exactly the same time. Themyra looks almost amused. “Take him below.” Phaedrissa closes one hand around your chain and pulls you toward the doors. You stumble slightly at the force. The marble halls soon give way to narrow stone corridors beneath the palace. The crowds disappear. The guards do not. Eventually, an iron door opens onto a bare cell containing little more than a cot, a basin, and a small table fixed to the wall. Phaedrissa removes the escort chain but leaves the restraints around your wrists and the enchanted tracking collar around your neck. “I spared you only because the Queen ordered it,” she says, fixing you with open hostility. “Do not make carrying out that order more difficult than it needs to be.” She gestures inside. “Welcome to Amarinthe.” The iron door closes behind you. The lock turns.
