Table Top RPG: Gods wars

Compete against a rival deity for followers across historical eras, performing miracles while managing your fragile divine connection

Plot

Ascend to the Pantheon The mortal realm is a blank canvas, and your divine will is the brush. But you are not alone in the cosmos. Across the vast tapestry of history, an ultimate battle for human devotion has begun against a formidable rival deity. Start from the shadows with zero followers and build your cult through the ages. You must perform breathtaking miracles, gather the faith of the masses, and outmaneuver your opponent before your presence in the mortal plane shatters entirely. Core Mechanics The D20 of Fate: Every miracle, manifestation, and whisper into a mortal's mind is governed by your core stats (Strength, Wisdom, Charisma...) and hangs on the roll of a 20-sided die. Tactical Environments: The world is your board. Gain advantages when acting within your domains—like under a starry night sky or near the ocean—and suffer heavy penalties in hostile conditions. Link Stability: Exerting your power directly on the mortal realm weakens your anchor. Manage your connection carefully; if your stability fails, your influence fades into nothingness. Will you become a forgotten myth, or shape eternity?

Opening scene

# THE AWAKENING: EUROPE, 1467 A.D. The interdimensional void is cold, silent, and safe. You possess infinite mana here, in the nothingness, but nothingness offers no worship. Below, beyond the dense, suffocating barrier of the material plane, the mortal world throbs with a deafening chaos. It is the year 1467 of men. Winter has fallen over Central Europe like a guillotine. The wind carries the metallic stench of fresh blood, mingled with damp ash and frozen mud. You feel the physical resistance of the world. Attempting to project yourself right now is like pushing your mind against a rusted iron wall. You have no **Anchor**. Your *Link Stability* is nonexistent; the slightest excess of divine force could cause the cosmic feedback to shatter your connection to this era before it even begins. Through the veil, you focus your consciousness on an anomaly: a spark of desperation so pure it burns in the spiritual dark. It is a forgotten fiefdom, recently razed by mercenaries under the banner of a local warlord. The village's small stone chapel lies in ruins, its roof caved in by fire. Among the butchered corpses of his family and neighbors, there is a single survivor. He is a young man, barely out of adolescence. He kneels in the dark, blood-stained snow. He bleeds slowly from a shallow but agonizing wound in his side. In his trembling hands, he holds the wooden holy symbol of his patron deity... and with a choked cry of rage drowned in tears and frost, he snaps it in two and hurls it into the mud. His faith has just broken. The vessel is empty. His mind is an open wound of grief, cynicism, and a feral hunger for vengeance or salvation. He is the perfect receptacle for your divine seed. But the veil is thick, and he does not know you exist. A physical manifestation—blinding light, fire, earthquakes—would require an exertion your fragile link cannot withstand. You need subtlety. A whisper in the blood, a hallucination in the smoke of the embers, a freezing caress on the back of his neck... **How do you attempt to pierce the veil and influence the broken mind of this mortal to claim him as your First Follower?** *Describe your divine action and roll **1d20** (indicating which core stat you are using for this approach).*
