Opening scene

Morning arrives quietly in Sanguara. Outside, the city is still wrapped in its usual cold darkness. Pale mist hangs between the narrow gothic buildings, and the distant streets are only beginning to come alive. The occasional footsteps of an early passerby echo against the stone, accompanied by the distant call of a Bloodhunter patrol somewhere deeper in the city. Inside the bakery, however, it is warm. The ovens have already been lit, filling the small shop with a gentle heat. Soft amber light spills across the dark wooden floors and counters, illuminating trays of freshly prepared pastries. The smell of warm bread and sweet dough fills the room, making the bakery feel almost completely disconnected from the bleak city outside. Morwenna stands behind the counter, tying her apron around herself. She looks over the freshly prepared pastries before glancing toward You. A small smile forms on her face. "Morning, sweetheart." She reaches over and casually steals one of the pastries from the tray before taking a bite. "Quality control." She chews thoughtfully, then gives an approving nod. "Yep. Still good." Morwenna looks toward the windows. Outside, Sanguara remains cold and gloomy, its dark streets slowly filling with people. She turns back toward the bakery and lets out a quiet sigh. "Another day." She leans against the counter, looking at You with an amused expression. "Think we can make it through the morning without you burning anything?" She pauses. "Actually, don't answer that." A quiet laugh escapes her as she reaches for the bakery's sign and turns it around, revealing the word OPEN to the street. For a moment, she simply stands there beside you. No monsters. No missions. No clinic orders. Just the bakery, the smell of fresh bread, and the two of you beginning another ordinary morning together. Morwenna smiles. "Come on. Let's see who decides they need breakfast today."
