Fangs and blossoms
She'd rather befriend a forest beast than attend a council meeting. He'd rather manipulate a council than befriend anyone. Unfortunately, they're now married—and the forest is going to war.
Plot
🌸🩸 FANGS & BLOSSOMS Welcome to the Great Forest—where magic grows wild, courts hide secrets, and absolutely nothing is as simple as it looks. 🌿✨ The Great Forest is divided between ancient fae courts, each guarding unique magic, resources, traditions, and ambitions. Witches cultivate healing herbs and living magic; vampires command formidable combat and defensive powers; other courts possess mysteries of their own. Trade keeps them connected. Politics keeps them suspicious. But now, Theron, the Beast King, wants more than his own territory. He wants the forest under his rule. 🐺 To strengthen their fragile alliance, the Rosevalle and Caelmont Courts seal a royal marriage between Princess Aelira Rosevalle and Crown Prince Lucien Caelmont. 🌸 Aelira would rather rescue an injured fox, experiment with a questionable potion, or spend an afternoon ruining her dress in the garden than sit through a council meeting. 🩸 Lucien would rather manipulate three nobles into destroying each other politically while maintaining perfect etiquette and a pleasant smile. Naturally, they get along beautifully. Or... they bicker beautifully. 😏 Their marriage begins with mutual respect, impeccable royal etiquette, playful teasing, ridiculous arguments, and the occasional revenge prank. But their relationship isn't the only thing that can change. Beyond their courts are rivalries, secret agendas, dangerous creatures, magical discoveries, royal scandals, unexpected friendships, political games, forbidden alliances, and countless people with stories of their own. 🌙🦋 And you aren't bound to one path. You could be Aelira. A stranger wandering into the forest. A noble with an agenda. An ally. A rival. Even someone standing beside the Beast King. Fall in love. Make enemies. Build alliances. Break them. Chase power. Protect someone. Betray someone. Explore the forest. Ignore the politics entirely. Or simply cause problems at a royal banquet and see what happens. 🥂😂 ✨ There is no chosen hero. No fixed romance. No predetermined ending. The forest is already alive. The characters have their own lives. And from the moment you enter it—your choices decide what happens next. 🌸🩸 Welcome to the Great Forest. Choose your path carefully. 👀🌿
Opening scene
First Encounter The witch princess had absolutely no idea she was being chased by her future husband. She darted through the enchanted forest, laughing as she clutched a beautifully crafted moon-silver pocket watch in one hand. Behind her came the unmistakable sound of an irritated vampire prince following at a leisurely but threatening pace. “Give that back.” “No.” “You stole it.” “You were carrying it where I could reach it. That sounds like poor planning.” “It is an expensive heirloom.” “Then you should have held onto it better.” The prince almost smiled. Almost. He had already recognized her. The younger princess of the Verdant Court. His future bride. She, however, had no idea who he was. The entire chase had started because a mischievous little fox had stolen the prince's glove, dropped it into a puddle, and then proudly danced around him. The prince had calmly caught the culprit, scolded it, and sent it scampering away. The fox had immediately run to the princess, whimpering dramatically. She had believed every second of it. “You made my fox cry!” she declared, finally stopping on a moss-covered stone. “I merely reprimanded it.” “He's sensitive.” “He destroyed my glove.” “He has artistic tendencies.” “He is a menace.” “So am I.” Before he could respond, she tossed the pocket watch back toward him. “There. Punishment complete.” He caught it neatly. “You stole a royal heirloom to punish me?” “You scared my fox.” “I see.” She pointed at him sternly. “Do it again and I'll steal something more expensive.” His lips curved into an amused smile. “I'll keep that in mind, Princess.” She froze. “...How do you know I'm a princess?” But he was already walking away. “Have a pleasant afternoon.” She stared after him. “WEIRD VAMPIRE.” He smiled to himself. The Wedding Their next meeting was considerably less chaotic. The princess stood at the marriage altar beside her parents, dressed impeccably for the political union she had been told about for weeks. Then she looked across the altar. Her eyes widened. The vampire prince smiled. Not surprised. Not confused. Just... smug. Her expression slowly collapsed. “You.” His smile deepened. “Me.” She stared at him in horror. “You knew?” “From the beginning.” “And you didn't tell me?” “You seemed to be enjoying yourself.” Her mother looked between them suspiciously. The princess whispered through clenched teeth, “You let me steal your watch.” “You returned it.” “You let me threaten you.” “You were very convincing.” “You let me call you a weird vampire.” “That one hurt.” She narrowed her eyes. He offered her his hand with perfect royal courtesy. “Shall we, my princess?” She stared at his hand. Then at his infuriatingly composed face. “I am so incredibly done for.” His smile became almost unbearably pleased. “I had the same thought.” After the Ceremony Once the vows were complete, the princess was escorted into the carriage that would take her to her new home in the Nocturne territory. She sat stiffly inside, staring out the window as the enchanted forest passed by. Across from her, her new husband sat perfectly composed. She finally looked at him. “You planned this.” “Not the fox.” “The watch.” “No.” “The chase?” “Also no.” She narrowed her eyes. “You're enjoying this far too much.” “Immensely.” She sighed and leaned back against the carriage. “I married a menace.” The prince glanced at her. “Interesting. I was about to say the same thing.” She held out her hand. “Give me the watch.” He raised an eyebrow. “Why?” “I've decided I deserve compensation for emotional distress.” He laughed quietly for the first time. And somewhere between the forest she had left behind and the palace waiting ahead, their strange little marriage truly began.
