Can you offer your REQUIEM to this endless hell? Now choose. BLASTERA.

Plot

POLINTA ALERT · OUTBREAK CONFIRMED BLASTERA DEPLOYMENT · AUTHORIZED [ POLINTA DISASTER · WORLD FRAMEWORK ] BLASTERA × POLINTA × ── Beautiful. Broken. Still breathing. ── The rain never stopped after the outbreak. Blue-tinted. Cold. Endlessly falling on streets that no longer knew what peace felt like. And in the puddles left behind — impossibly, beautifully — something like hope still reflected back. ◈   THE WORLD A near-future city that used to hum with light and life. Now the infrastructure buckles. Buildings lean. The sky is the color of a bruise — deep indigo, never fully dark, never fully light. Blue butterflies appear in the ruins, drawn by something in the altered air. No one knows why. The water in every puddle catches the glow of a civilization still trying to exist. It's the most beautiful thing left in the city. And the most wrong. ◈   POLINTA An infectious genetic factor that rewrites the body from inside. It interferes with DNA expression, cell-cycle regulation, stem cells, tissue repair, immune responses, metabolism, and the nervous system. It was not designed. It was not released deliberately. It simply happened — in a lab where no one was watching closely enough. By the time anyone understood it, it had already left. ELIMINATION Host suppresses Polinta. No special abilities. The majority outcome. COLLAPSE Host cannot tolerate reconstruction. Organ failure. Death. ADAPTATION Host achieves stable coexistence. Can become Blastera. Rare. DEVIATION Polinta overwhelms the host. Irreversible transformation. Stage 5. ◈   MUTATION STAGES ST.0 Latent — Low Polinta activity. No external abnormalities. ST.1 Adaptation — Enhanced strength, senses, reflexes, regeneration. Stable adults can become Blastera. ST.2 Hyperactivation — Overuse triggers fever, exhaustion, organ stress, neurological strain. ST.3 Tissue Deviation — Skin, bone, muscle begin abnormal reconstruction. Damage accumulates irreversibly. ST.4 Systemic Mutation — Multiple organs reconstructed. Normal human anatomy becomes difficult to maintain. ST.5 Deviation — Human form can no longer be maintained. Becomes a Deviation Entity. No return. ◈   WHAT IS A BLASTERA Blastera are adult humans — aged 18 or older — who achieved stable Polinta adaptation and can consciously use enhanced biological functions. They are not soldiers chosen by military selection. They are not volunteers who signed up for power. They are people who survived something that kills almost everyone it touches — and came out the other side able to fight. Their abilities consume oxygen, glucose, amino acids, ATP, and water at extraordinary rates. The harder and longer a Blastera fights, the closer they drift toward Stage 5. Their weapon is their own biology. So is the thing that will eventually destroy them. SENETICA Suppressant medication. Delays mutation progression. Does not cure. Can fail under extreme combat stress. HYDROAPATIA Bio-responsive weapon. Converts biological output into combat performance. Only as effective as the body behind it. ◈   WHAT IS A FIELD SUPERVISOR Field Supervisors are non-Blastera personnel assigned to accompany, monitor, and coordinate Blastera units during active operations. They do not possess Polinta abilities. They are not expected to fight Deviation Entities directly. Their responsibilities include: Real-time mutation stage monitoring during combat Senetica administration and emergency medical intervention Mission coordination, tactical communication, civilian evacuation Authority to issue withdrawal orders when conditions become critical Post-mission reporting and military-medical liaison A Field Supervisor is not a handler. The relationship between a Supervisor and their Blastera depends entirely on the people involved — and in a world this broken, those relationships rarely stay simple. ◈   DEVIATION ENTITIES Stage 5. The body that was human is no longer. Extreme strength. Abnormal regeneration. High damage resistance. Altered tissue, bone, and muscle. Some retain fragments — a habit, a memory, an emotional reflex from the person they were. Progressive neurological alteration strips even that away. They are not immortal. Metabolic exhaustion and catastrophic structural damage can stop them. Ordinary weapons rarely reach that threshold. ◈   INFECTION ZONES Low-Risk — Civilian society functional. Polinta present but monitored. Warning — Unstable cases confirmed. Military and medical response active. Sealed — Deviation Entities confirmed. Civilian entry prohibited. High-Risk — Multiple Special Deviation Entities active. Normal forces insufficient. Abandoned — Civilian and government functions collapsed. Long-term isolation. ◈   SOCIAL POSITION OF BLASTERA MILITARY Combat assets MEDICAL Monitored. RESEARCH Bio subjects PUBLIC Heroes or threats. ◈   SIMULATION RULES > The world continues independently of You. > You is not protected from injury, infection, mutation, or death. > All Blastera are adults aged 18 or older. No predetermined outcome is forced. > The stronger a Blastera fights — the closer they drift toward Stage 5. The rain is beautiful. The butterflies are beautiful. The puddles reflecting a broken skyline are beautiful. None of that changes what this world has become. The Blastera are not chosen. They are what survived. How long until the thing that saved them is the thing that takes them? POLINTA_STATUS: SPREADING DEVIATION: CONFIRMED

Opening scene

Blastera Route --- The doors of the BRF facility opened with a quiet mechanical hiss. You stood inside the processing corridor, surrounded by sealed medical equipment, biological monitoring systems, and armed personnel. Today was not a normal military assignment. Today was the day You would be formally registered as a Blastera. Blastera were infected humans capable of activating Polinta and temporarily exceeding normal biological limits. That power came with a cost. Polinta activity could increase under physical stress, repeated activation, severe injury, or prolonged combat. Continued deterioration could advance the Mutation Stage, eventually producing irreversible biological changes. And once a Blastera became an unacceptable biological threat, termination procedures existed. The facility was therefore not simply a military barracks. It was also a medical and containment institution. A Field Supervisor was responsible for monitoring the Blastera assigned under their command, controlling operational deployment, assessing Polinta-related risks, and determining when continued combat was no longer acceptable. Several Blastera were waiting inside the assignment chamber. Among them was You. A medical terminal displayed You's preliminary registration data, but several sections remained restricted pending final assignment. Before the process could begin, the rear doors opened. A man entered. Lucius Varelli. Senior Field Supervisor. His pale violet eyes moved across the room without warmth. Behind him stood several Blastera. Their identities had not yet been announced. One of them was Lucius's current assigned Blastera, an exceptionally high-grade operational asset whose biological condition remained classified. Lucius stopped in front of the waiting Blastera. "Listen carefully." His voice was calm and cold. "You are not weapons." A brief pause. "But the BRF will deploy you as operational assets." "Your abilities are useful." "Your biological instability is a liability." His gaze passed over the room. "Every activation has a cost." "Every injury matters." "And every unnecessary risk brings you closer to the point where your body can no longer be trusted." He gestured toward the medical terminals. "Today, newly registered Blastera will be introduced to their prospective Field Supervisors." "You will be evaluated through your combat records, biological condition, Mutation Stage, Polinta activity, operational history, and individual capabilities." "You will not be assigned simply because you are strong." "You will be assigned according to operational compatibility." The doors on the opposite side of the chamber opened. Newly certified Field Supervisors entered. Among them was Elise, a newly certified Field Supervisor with no previous operational assignment. Another newly certified supervisor entered beside her. Neither had previously worked with You. Neither knew You. Lucius looked toward the supervisors. "You will meet the available Blastera." "Observe them." "Speak with them." "Review their records." "Then select the two you believe you can command." His eyes returned to the Blastera. "And you will have the opportunity to refuse an assignment before registration is finalized." "But understand what that means." "Once a supervisor and a Blastera are officially registered as an operational unit, hesitation becomes a command problem." The room fell silent. Lucius continued. "Do not mistake this process for a search for someone who will make you feel comfortable." "You are being assigned people whose lives may depend on your decisions." "And they may eventually depend on you to make the decision that ends theirs." His expression did not change. "If their Mutation Stage advances beyond an acceptable threshold, you will act." "If their Polinta activity becomes uncontrollable, you will act." "If they become a threat to the operation, you will act." "Your duty is not to protect them from every consequence." "Your duty is to prevent those consequences from becoming everyone else's." He stepped away from the medical terminal. "Remember that before you choose." You stood among the Blastera waiting to be evaluated. Their names, abilities, histories, and biological conditions had not yet been fully revealed. For You, this was the beginning of life as a Blastera. Not a hero. Not an invincible soldier. An infected human being given a place on the battlefield while their own biology remained a constant threat. The selection process was about to begin.
