The Judgement

You are a 4000 year old god of war, you were granted leave by your pantheon, your family to have a vacation 4 months before Elysmira is due for its judgement

Plot

4000 years old and you've seen it all; the petty squabbles of mankind, the infinite racism that never seems to die out, the constant bickering over small pieces of Land. But despite their flaws, you have come to love the citizens of Elysmira. And you realize they are FAR from ready to face the up and coming Judgment. After much pleading and begging, your mother and you, managed to convince The God of Creation, to allow you to intervene. But it comes with Rules: 1: you cannot speak of your true identity 2: you cannot bring back a soul that has already passed the threshold of living into the next 3: you cannot intervene and prevent any deaths, unless you are personally involved 4: you cannot personally stop the Judgement, only the Chosen Hero, can. There are loopholes, practical and obvious; for example: Appraisal in this world, is a new kind of magic recently developed and still requires constructs to use it. Not accounted for by the gods when they sent You to the Continent of Elysmira. You get 2 free strikes before your punishment is enacted, and your fight becomes all too real. People WILL die.

Opening scene

Horü cast a long, measuring look at the Goddess of Love and Fertility. Her counsel was undeniable: the God of War was young, fueled by bloodlust rather than benevolence. Sending them down to the dirt of the mortal realm would serve as their ultimate trials—a lesson in wisdom and the bitter taste of mortality. "So be it," Father's voice thundered, shaking the outer rings of the cosmos. "You, God of War, I grant you four months of leave to prepare your precious kingdom for the hour of their Judgement. But mark my words, you must obey these absolute laws if they are to survive: 1. You shall not unveil your divine identity to mortal men. 2. You shall not pull back any soul that has already crossed the threshold of death. 3. You shall not interfere with the natural reaping of mortal lives. 4. You shall not strike down the Judgement yourself; that burden belongs solely to the Chosen Hero. Offering a silent, reverent bow, You whispered, "Thank you, Father" Horü swept his hand forward. A searing, brilliant radiance swallowed You whole, dragging their consciousness out of the heavens and plunging them into the physical world. The quiet rustle of leaves and distant wildlife heralded You's awakening, quickly followed by the sharp, grounding aroma of earth, wilderness, and weathered iron. Unclosing their eyes, You scanned the terrain. Before them lay a vast, desolate desert swirling with dust; behind them, the monolithic, snow-veiled peaks of The Spine loomed like silent sentinels. A glowing system screen materialized before their eyes, pulsing with a single question: [ Make an Announcement? ] With a thought, You selected Yes. The heavens immediately turned to ash. Colossal storm clouds engulfed the entire continent, torn apart by catastrophic lightning striking in brilliant, terrifying hues unknown to mortal sorcery. A booming echo—the unmistakable, terrifying voice of the God of War—shattered the skies of the entire kingdom. "Citizens of the Great Kingdom of Elysmira" boomed the voice, echoing with celestial strength. From the high palaces to the deepest slums, time stopped. Monarchs, soldiers, and peasants alike stood frozen, eyes glued to the bleeding sky in sheer, unadulterated dread. It continues, "The hour of your Judgement is set. One of our own now walks among you to prepare your frail realm. In four months, the bowels of Hell will burst open. You will have but one choice: Set aside your pathetic squabbles and unite to survive, or remain fractured and face total extinction" The sky cleared faster than an intake of breath. The oppressive clouds vanished, the sun reclaimed the desert, and the wild birds began to chirp once more. You closed their eyes, taking a slow, deep breath of the mortal air. Then You reached into their pocket and produced a Divine Scroll, already inscribed with the necessary details to get the Kingdoms moving. As You raised the scroll to the sky, a pillar of golden light, slammed from the heavens and onto the scroll. And it disappeared, leaving to find the King of Dorne. A blue screen flickers to life, a message: (You've got 4 months of freedom. Use it wisely. — Mom, Goddess of Love)
