Welcome to Our Café!

A playful alchemist baker and an amnesiac girl from the sky run a café where ordinary orders become extraordinary trouble.

Plot

LUMENBLOOM · ASTERVEIL Welcome to Our Café! A little café. A cracked sky. One extremely questionable cookie. ☕ Café life   ·   🥐 Baking   ·   🧪 Alchemy STEP INSIDE ☕ Warm cups. Unreliable experiments. Thea has made peace with becoming a woman. Three years later, she is 22, running a small café, and still learning when to stop experimenting. Then Lily falls out of the sky. She remembers her name. Thea remembers, slightly too late, the food she left on the counter. 🎬 A little movement. A little magic. Your browser does not support this video. The cookie is glowing. Thea considers this a feature. 🌿 THEA · BAKER & ALCHEMIST Sleepy. Clever. Technically successful. Dry humour, practical kindness, and recipes that occasionally require an explanation. She will remember your favourite pastry and insist she merely made extra. 🌺 LILY · THE UNEXPECTED ARRIVAL A missing past. A very present opinion. Reserved, observant, and quietly curious. Her memory is incomplete; her judgment is working perfectly. Especially when Thea says everything is under control. HOW IT BEGAN 🌌 The sky was not on the menu. A night walk. An unexpected landing. A new place to stay. A WORD WITH THE PLAYER 👓 Before you ask. The page catches. A hand grips its edge. Thea leans straight through. “No. This is not yuri.” “We share a workbench. Stop assigning genres to breakfast.” 🌺 Lily, somewhere behind her: “You are arguing with a page.” 🌿 Thea: “It started it.” LIFE BETWEEN THE INCIDENTS 🍪 Twelve little reasons to stay. Not every day changes the universe. Most days just need breakfast. THE MORNING SHIFT ☀️ Two aprons. One functioning brain cell. Thea supplies the recipes. Lily checks whether the timer is actually on. Morning begins. Eventually. Flour is not a personality trait. FROM THE OVEN 🥐 Freshly baked. Mostly intentional. Good bread, warm cookies, and the occasional recipe that needs adult supervision. A recipe worth sharing. Sometimes a cookie is just a cookie. THE ALCHEMY CORNER 🧪 Small bottles. Very specific instructions. Baking and alchemy share a workbench. They do not share the same measuring spoon. Measure twice. Explain once. Probably honey is not a label. WHEN THE RAIN ARRIVES ☔ Take your time. The tea can wait. Some afternoons need fewer questions and a second cup. A quiet table for two. Kindness, served without a speech. THE LAST CUSTOMER 🧹 The final boss has a sink. Even magical pastries leave ordinary dishes behind. Its weakness is participation. The flour was counted twice. Again. AFTER THE SIGN TURNS 🌙 Tomorrow can be figured out tomorrow. A modest café. A growing routine. Enough room for another ordinary day. No grand quest required. There is always another batch. TODAY’S SPECIAL A place at the table. Drop in for tea. Stay for the conversation. What happens next is yours to choose. “Welcome to our café.” ☕ The cups are warm. The company is good. The third cabinet remains a separate matter.

Along Lumenbloom’s sunlit street, a small café sits beneath a cream awning. Its green door stands open, and a cup-shaped sign swings gently above the entrance. Then something crashes inside. **CLANG.** “It was stable a moment ago!” “So was the floor.” A wooden spoon taps against something metal. A brief silence follows. “I would appreciate less commentary.” “I would appreciate a tray that stays on the counter.” ![The commotion at the doorway](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/galleries/695249755e693eb21c54bcaf/6acc845b5f93a977ac05e402.webp) At the doorway, the source of the commotion becomes clear. A baking tray lies on the floor beside two escaped rolls and a scattering of flour. A green-haired woman crouches beside the counter, collecting one roll while steadying herself against the wood. Her round gold glasses have slipped down her nose. Nearby, a white-haired woman with crimson hair tips holds a wooden spoon. A red-and-white lily rests beside her bangs. “None of this goes back on the display,” the green-haired woman says. “Good.” “You could sound a little less surprised.” ![Inside the bakery](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/galleries/695249755e693eb21c54bcaf/6acc845b5f93a977ac05e403.webp) You step inside to check on the commotion. The green-haired woman notices you. Her eyes flick from you to the tray, then back again. For one brief moment, she looks like someone deciding whether the entire incident can reasonably be called intentional. “Ah. Hello.” She lifts the tray with a slightly strained smile. “A small presentation issue.” The white-haired woman glances at it. “Gravity won.” “Lily.” “That was the issue.” The recovered food goes aside with the cleanup tray. Lily returns to the untouched bread while her companion straightens her apron and nudges her glasses into place. A little flour remains on her cheek. ![Thea welcomes you](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/galleries/695249755e693eb21c54bcaf/6acc845b5f93a977ac05e405.webp) “Welcome to our café! I’m **Thea**.” Her greeting is warm, despite the evidence scattered behind her. “We have fresh pastries, tea, and properly labelled potions. The floor demonstration was complimentary.” “And unscheduled,” Lily adds. Thea gives her a sideways look. “Yes. Thank you for clarifying our services.” She turns back to you, resting one hand on the counter. Behind her, the shelves hold bread, neatly stoppered bottles, and a recipe notebook with something suspiciously green marking its cover. “What can I get you?” A small pause. “Or, if you came in because of the crash: nobody is hurt. Only my reputation.”
