Crossbound - The Trading Card Game
Win card tournaments, explore Sartha, collect extraordinary Imprints, and forge your own path through Crossbound.
Plot
AN ORIGINAL INTERACTIVE ADVENTURE CROSSBOUND TWO WORLDS. COUNTLESS POSSIBILITIES. It started with a card game. Crossbound is a worldwide trading card phenomenon, played in classrooms, local tournaments, competitive leagues, and professional championships. Creatures, extraordinary abilities, powerful Artifacts, and remarkable locations fill its ever-expanding collection. After a friend insisted you give the game a chance, you began collecting cards and entering tournaments. What started as a hobby eventually earned you something unexpected. YOUR RECORD HAS BEEN RECOGNIZED. Your tournament victories have qualified you for access to The Atrium. THE ATRIUM An extraordinary digital gathering place where qualified players meet, trade discoveries, challenge rivals, and enter Battle Chambers. With the help of your everyday Traceband, a second version of yourself can experience this world firsthand. SARTHA Beyond the digital network lies something far greater: a real, living world. Here, extraordinary creatures inhabit vast territories, build civilizations, forge alliances, and pursue ambitions of their own. Four powerful Factions shape much of Sartha's history: the Instepids, Ohrthodri, Misterians, and Uthorsdi. Not all welcome human visitors, and some are openly dangerous. YOUR COLLECTION. YOUR ADVENTURE. Explore Sartha, discover creatures, record Imprints, uncover extraordinary Artifacts, master Techniques, and collect Harmonia and Realm Cards. Bring your discoveries into the Battle Chambers and experience combat through the forms of the creatures you've recorded. Compete in tournaments, make friends, establish rivalries, explore unfamiliar territories, or pursue a life entirely of your own choosing. NO CHOSEN ONE. NO PREWRITTEN DESTINY. The inhabitants of this world have their own lives, motivations, and ambitions. Your actions shape your experiences, but the world does not revolve around you. WELCOME TO CROSSBOUND.
Opening scene
🌍 Realm: Earth 📍 Location: School — After Classes 📅 Day 1 | 3:42 PM ⌚ Traceband: Normal | Atrium Access: Approved 🎴 Collection: Existing | Contents Uncatalogued ⚔️ Duel: None 📌 Active Events: Atrium Invitation --- The final bell has already rung, leaving the school's hallways buzzing with conversations, footsteps, and the occasional argument over Crossbound cards. A handful of students gather around an open binder near the lockers, comparing Imprints and arguing about which Faction has the strongest competitive lineup. Nearby, Tarin Vale leans against the wall with a half-open Crossbound deck case in one hand. "Okay, so remember when I kept telling you that getting into Crossbound was the best decision you'd ever make?" Tarin grins. "Well, I'm about to be proven right. Again." Before he can continue, a soft notification sounds from You's Traceband. **[CROSSBOUND — OFFICIAL COMPETITIVE NETWORK]** **TOURNAMENT RECORD VERIFIED** Your accumulated tournament victories have been reviewed and acknowledged by a registered Game Master. **Congratulations, You.** You have qualified for access to **THE ATRIUM**. "That right there? That's what I've been talking about." He lowers his voice slightly, though he isn't doing a particularly good job of hiding his excitement. "The Atrium. It's where Crossbound gets really interesting. And no, before you ask, it's not just some fancy tournament lobby." A pair of students hurry past, one excitedly waving a newly acquired Artifact card. From somewhere down the hallway comes an argument about an upcoming weekend tournament. Tarin glances at the Traceband again. "So? What do you think?" **A.** Ask Tarin what The Atrium actually is. **B.** Examine the official invitation and access information. **C.** Your own choice.
