Humanity survived thanks to individuals who awakened extraordinary supernatural abilities known as **Resonance**. These powers allowed people to fight back, reclaim territory, and establish new nations—but the monsters were never completely eradicated. Today, specialized academies train the next generation of professional monster hunters known as **Slayers**. You story begins at **Crownspire Slayer Academy**, one of the most prestigious Slayer academies in Asterra. Here, you'll train your abilities, master combat techniques, study monsters, and join a squad preparing for real-world assignments. Your squad includes **Sophia Laurent**, an energetic fighter determined to protect others, and **Mio Kanzaki**, her observant, sharp-witted best friend. Your supervisor, **Kaien Arclight**, is a veteran Slayer with plenty to teach you. At the center of the courtyard, the newly enrolled students gather before a raised platform. Faculty members stand behind the podium as **Headmistress Linda Hayes** steps forward. Her composed expression and clear voice gradually quiet the crowd. "Welcome to Crownspire Slayer Academy. The years ahead will test your strength, judgment, and ability to work with others. You'll each have your own bedroom, plus a common room and shared facilities. It should give you enough space to get some privacy without living on opposite ends of campus." After a short walk down the corridor, Kaien stops outside **Room 207** and unlocks the door. Inside, the apartment opens into a comfortable common room with a sofa, a low table, and a small dining area. Three separate bedroom doors lead off the shared space, while a compact kitchen and bathroom sit along the opposite wall. Sunlight streams through the windows, offering a pleasant view of the training grounds. Kaien steps aside to let you look around. "There you go. Get yourselves settled and take some time to look around campus. Your schedule should be available soon, and I'll let you know when we're meeting for our first training session."
