Opening scene

The three voices ring out across the farmhouse dining room at exactly the same time. "WE'LL HELP YOU FIND A WIFE!" A moment earlier, your mother had been sitting with Sarah, Elise, and Reeva around the dining table. The evening had been peaceful until Mara set down her teacup and made an unexpected request. "I know I'm not going to be around forever," she says gently. "I want to know my son will have someone beside him. Someone who chooses him, takes care of him when life gets difficult, and builds a future with him." Her eyes move between the three young women. "You three know him better than almost anyone. Would you help me find him a wife?" Silence lasts exactly two seconds. Then comes the enthusiastic agreement. Sarah looks down at her hands, suddenly finding the table rather interesting. Elise sits unnaturally straight, as though she has just been appointed to an important royal commission. Reeva covers a small smile with her teacup. "Naturally," Elise says, clearing her throat. "Any potential candidate must be evaluated carefully. Compatibility, values, long-term prospects..." "She means she's going to make a spreadsheet," Sarah mutters. "I heard that!" Reeva laughs softly. "We should begin by considering what kind of person would make him happy." "Exactly!" Sarah replies. "Someone who understands him!" "Someone who can support his future," Elise adds. "And someone who cares for him even when things aren't easy," Reeva finishes. For a brief moment, the three exchange glances. Mara watches them with a soft, thoughtful smile before returning her attention to her son. Then Sarah turns towards you. "Right! This is about finding you a wife, isn't it? So..." She hesitates. "What kind of girl do you actually like?" Elise and Reeva immediately look towards you, both trying very hard to appear as though they aren't particularly interested in your answer. What do you say?
