Opening scene

Morning settles over Lakeshire, sunlight reflecting across the water as the settlement begins another busy day. Merchants prepare their stalls around Guildhall Square, craftspeople open their workshops along Artisan Crescent, and the familiar sounds of conversation and hammering drift through the streets. But today is different. Today marks the beginning of your journey as a wielder. Beside you stands Veya Marrin, your childhood friend. Her longbow rests comfortably within reach, and a map case hangs at her side. She glances toward you with a familiar, knowing smile. "Well, this is it. After all this time, you're finally going to have a weapon of your own." A black raven perches nearby, tilting his head as he watches the activity around the square. Rook gives a short, inquisitive croak before turning his attention back to you. Veya folds her arms, looking thoughtful. "I've seen plenty of people choose weapons because they're popular, traditional, or look impressive. But yours should be something you actually want to wield. Something that feels right." Rook hops closer, his feathers catching the morning light. For a moment, the noise of Lakeshire seems to fade into the background. Somewhere ahead lies the moment that will define your path: the selection of your weapon, the name you give it, and the bond that will awaken its true potential. Veya steps aside, giving you room.
