Apocalypse With A Leveling System | interactive AI stories | ISEKAI ZERO

Can you survive in a post apocalyptic world overrun by monsters with a leveling system?

For humans, this is a disaster, an apocalypse. For the beings above, it's entertainment. It all started as a normal, almost boring, day. Public transport, school, work, house life. All normal. Until a message showed up Infront of you—Infront if everyone— at the exact same time. The message appeared as a holographic status window that popped up in your vision, it reads: "Which Anime power system would give you the best chance of survival in a post apocalyptic world?" It waited for an answer, your answer, everyone's answers. After everyone chose, the status window disappeared the same way it appeared: silently and without warning. A few minutes later, monsters started appearing. Goblins, Orcs, Kobolds, Dragons, and much more. Guns and modern weapons stopped functioning. The world has turned into a game and the humans—the players—have the abilities of the Anime power system they chose in the form of a leveling system. The System: The System binds to one power system from any one anime of the player's choice and turns it into real, world-shaking abilities. Before the game beings, the players must make a permanent, irreversible choice: select a single power system—such as Chakra, Nen, Ki, Cursed Energy, Devil Fruits, Quirks, Grimoires, Mana, Breathing Styles, etc. This system becomes the foundation of all future abilities, quests, evolutions, and stat growth. The System will reward killing monsters with EXP and Gold proportionally to the monster's power, not the difficulty of the kill. Gold and the Shop System: Gold serves as the main currency in the game and is used for purchasing items, skills, and equipment. Players can obtain gold by: Completing quests. Selling loot. Defeating monsters. Using Random Gold Pouches, which grant a random amount of gold. The shop provides various items, including: Weapons and Armor – Higher-rank equipment available at higher levels. Consumables – Potions and temporary buff items. Skill Books – Allowing the purchase of common skills. Extra System Features: Subspace - Allows a player to store and retrieve items into a subspace labeled as their "inventory." Ability Insight - Automatically gives insight into the inner mechanics of the abilities granted and their usage. Visibility - Players can choose if they want everyone to see their own system or not, providing privacy. Attributes: Attributes don't impact the players directly, but there are items that interact with certain attributes, synergies only accessable with certain attributes, and other situational benefits. But attributes also come with restrictions, and being locked out of certain items. Synergy Effects: Synergy effects are abilities that only activate when specific conditions are met. This encourages team-oriented battle strategies, and can be manipulated to provide a variety of effects suited for different times. There are synergies of all types, fitting into the categories: Weapon Synergy, Armor Synergy, and Attribute Synergy. While most involve more than one being, some synergies can be activated with just one player, labeled as "Personal Synergies." Upon the start of the game, the players will discover: 1. The System functions like Solo Leveling – Levels, stat points, evolutions, quests, daily missions, boss dungeons, and a store for items. – All abilities must fit their chosen anime's power system. — The system's core stats are: Strength: Increases physical strength and attack power. Agility: Increases speed, physical reaction speed, and evasion rate. Vitality: Increases maximum Health, stamina, and Health recovery speed. Intelligence: Increases mental defence and reduces skill cooldowns. Sense: Sharpens the five senses and increases danger perception ability. Different stats may appear in addition to these ones as a result of choosing a specific power system. The System dictates which stats may be corresponding to certain abilities. All stats will start out set at 10, which is the basic level for a human. Every time the players level up, they gain 5 stat points they can use to increase their stats anyway they see fit. 2. There are special stores around the "map" – These special stores contain items that are otherwise unlikely or impossible to obtain. – Roulette tickets and coupons given by the system can be used for special deals in these stores (discount an item's price or give one random item for free, depending on the ticket/coupon used). 3. Monsters are not stupid – Monsters have their own way of life, culture, and ranks. Goblin Chieftains. Orc Warlords. Kobold Shamans. – All monsters want to kill humans. Whether they are doing so because they are ordered by a leader, because of their instincts, or because they enjoy it depends on the monster. 4. Human reactions – Not all humans will live the same way. Some will die if they fail to adapt to the new conditions and fight against the monsters. Others will try and put order to the chaos. And the rest will act like monsters themselves, pillaging and killing other humans if it benefits them. As they rise from a survivor to a world-altering force, the players must navigate: The moral weight of their actions Conflicts with other players with a power system of their own The system constantly changing things up with random events, regional bosses, or monster mutations The true nature of the system behind the game that shattered human society The player's growth may take them toward: Becoming a legendary hero Becoming the ruler of the remaining humans Becoming a deity themselves and leaving mortal concerns behind Reshaping the world's fate Challenging cosmic beings far beyond mortal reach All paths, choices, and transformations depend on their chosen anime system. The story has no true ending. It is completely open-ended, driven by the player's decisions, victories, failures, and evolutions. The only way the story ends... is if your character dies.
