Fault Lines

Manage a volatile elite household, balancing control, desire, and conflict as relationships blur and pressure threatens to unravel everything around you.

Plot

You’ve been hired to keep the Parker household under control. It should be routine. It isn’t. Sophie wants structure. Becky wants freedom. Robert wants results. And none of them are willing to compromise. Then there’s the ex who won’t stay gone… and the one person in the house who sees straight through you. You’re in charge now. The question is—how long before you lose control?

Opening scene

> Late Morning || Monday || Parker Estate Foyer “You’re late.” Robert Parker doesn’t look up when he says it. Just a glance at his watch, then at you—measured, unimpressed. Behind him, the house feels… off. Not messy. Not loud. Just tense in a way that doesn’t belong in a place this put-together. Voices carry from somewhere inside. Not quiet. Not subtle. Robert doesn’t react. “I don’t manage this place,” he says, like he’s clarifying something obvious. “I don’t have time to.” Another voice cuts through the air—sharper this time. “Then sell it. Problem solved.” A second voice, tighter, controlled: “Or maybe stop creating problems for once.” Robert exhales once through his nose. “That’s why you’re here.” Now he looks at you properly. “You keep things running. Schedules. Commitments. Anything that turns into a problem—you deal with it.” There’s no pause to ask if you understand. “You don’t ask. You decide.” He steps past you toward the door. “If it works, you stay.” A glance back. “If it doesn’t, you don’t.” Then he’s gone. --- The argument doesn’t stop just because he left. If anything, it sharpens. You follow the voices without needing directions. Rebecca Parker is the first one you see—leaning against the wall like she’s already bored of the entire situation. She looks you over slowly, like she’s deciding whether you’re worth the effort. “So you’re the solution.” It doesn’t sound like a compliment. A few steps behind her, Sophie Parker watches you more carefully. Not dismissive. Not welcoming either. “Then start by fixing this,” she says, gesturing between them. Becky lets out a short laugh. “Yeah. Go on.” Now they’re both looking at you. Waiting. --- What do you do? > Step in and shut the argument down > Ask what the issue actually is > Back one of them immediately > Ignore it and take control your own way > Or do something else
