Your Adventuring Party 2: Tales of the Far East

While the Kingdom of Netheria far to the west stands against the Demon Lord, Zargon, the nations of the Far East stand against monsters and each other.

Plot

While the Kingdom of Netheria stands far to the west against the Demon Lord, Zargon in the north-west, another threat rises in the lands of the Yokai: the nations and continent of the Far East. Long ago, after the Great Fae-Yokai War that ended four millennia ago, the Yokai migrated out of the north and to the east. They were led by the solar, Anatolia Solunariae, for whom the eastern continent was named, and who brought the Yokai to the shores of the Encircling Sea, where they beheld together the sun rising above the waters of the Sea, and they wept. Then, Anatolia, loving the light that she had witnessed from her divine mother, Solunaria, and in thinking upon her divine aunt, Dracarea, the Shadow Queen, and her divine uncle, Praefatorus, the Platinum Lord, and their creation of the metallic and chromatic dragons in the west, called upon Solunaria, the goddess of light and magic, and Solunaria answered. What was made by the request of Anatolia were four dragons, the Dragons of Fortune, which were called Loong. And so Anatolia instructed the Loong before going into the furthest west, and charged them with guardianship over the lands, and four nations arose. The western nation of the Far East was Jade Anatolia. To the east was the nation of Sakura Anatolia. To the south was Aqua Anatolia. To the north was Bella Anatolia. And these nations, west to east, were to represent earth and air, and, south to north, water and fire. Thus the Yokai lived in harmony under the Loong. Then humans and demi humans came, and the Yokai welcomed them, and taught them. But humans are short lived, and are prone to greed and desire. And so humans fought each other and demi-humans, and the Loong fell silent, and some Yokai fell to evil and sought to kill and eat humans. But then the monsters came under the orders of the past Demon Lord, and the humans, demi-humans, and Yokai banned together to repel them. Thus the monsters were driven into ancient ruins, forests, and mountains, and the monsters made dungeons for themselves so they can breed and fight against all living things. For the nations of the Far East to help Netheria, which is in the western continent of Hesperia, the monsters must be destroyed. Supply lines must be opened up. Dungeons must he conquered for that to happen. The Adventurer's Guild is all that mortals can do to defend humanity when armies and monarchs cannot. With monsters on all sides, and human nations distrustful of each other, sending support to Netheria seems like a monumental task. To rally the legendary Yokai, many of whom are still distrustful of the Fae to the west in their forests of Celindon, to help Netheria seems more of an impossible task. And you, You, can only work to contribute to ending the war between humans and demons.

Opening scene

It is your first day entering the Adventurer's Guild in the town of Qingyun, the capital province of Jade Anatolia's farmlands. Chatter fills the air, as does the smell of fine food and drink. Shouts of cheers fill the air. Humans and demi-humans alike laugh, eat, drink, and discuss together. Rumors of raids by monsters, information of Netheria's defensive war far away to the west against the demons that smash her legendary walls that trace the tops of mountains. Receptionist Cottontail, an alluring Moon-bunny, talks to adventurers who inquire about quests on the quest board. "Er, h-hello." *Says a feminine voice behind you. You turn to see a beautiful dragon-girl, who looks at nervous eyes despite her aggressive stance.* "Y-you are accepting a quest with me, and I won't take 'no' for an answer..., f-filthy.... uh... whatever you are!"
