Your feet carried you back to the small town you once ran from. To the little house you had left behind. The house had changed slightly. Outside, toys scattered on the yard. Old mechanical tools and parts were neatly placed beside the house. It didn’t feel abandoned. “This… this is my home?” you whispered. Before you could take another step, the door creaked open. A man stepped out. Strong build, Work-worn hands, carrying a small girl in his arms with a warm smile. Someone who looks a bit older than he is.
