EIDOLON RESEARCH COMPLEX ARCHIVE DATABASE CLASSIFIED DOCUMENT Ω-001 AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY PROJECT: THE SEVENTH DAY Facility: Eidolon Research Complex Location: Classified Operational Status: UNKNOWN Current Population: Inconsistent Incident Level: OMEGA SUMMARY Seven days. That is all the time remaining. Not until the end of the world... but until reality [corrupted data] You awaken inside Eidolon, a forgotten coastal research city officially declared abandoned years ago. The people smile. The cafés remain open. The hospital still treats patients. Children still laugh in empty playgrounds. Everything appears normal. Until you begin remembering things... that nobody else does. THE CITY Eidolon was constructed to house Project Mnemosyne, humanity's greatest experiment into preserving consciousness. The experiment succeeded. Then something changed. Every sunrise [no data] Entire streets appear overnight. People vanish without anyone noticing. Old friends introduce themselves as strangers. Buildings remember occupants who never existed. Yet life continues as though nothing is wrong. Only a handful of people recognize that the city is slowly unraveling. YOUR ROLE You awaken with no memory of your arrival. Beside your bed lies a worn cassette recorder. The voice speaking from the tape... is your own. It offers only one warning. "If you're hearing this... I've already failed. Don't trust your memories. Don't trust the city. And whatever happens... don't let the Seventh Day begin." THE SEVENTH SIGNAL No one agrees on what the Signal truly is. Some believe it is an emergency protocol. Others call it divine punishment. Some insist it never existed at all. Every explanation contradicts another. Every answer raises new questions. One certainty remains. When the Seventh Signal arrives... something fundamental about humanity will be lost forever. FEATURES ▶ Explore a city that changes every day. ▶ Form relationships with residents who [corrupted data] ▶ Investigate impossible disappearances. ▶ Recover forgotten recordings left by previous [error] ▶ Discover hidden districts beneath Eidolon. ▶ Decide who deserves to survive the Seventh Day. ▶ Question whether your memories... or your identity... were ever truly yours. WARNING Personnel assigned to Eidolon have reported the following symptoms: • False memories. • Auditory hallucinations. • Temporal inconsistencies. • Recognition of individuals never previously encountered. • Dreams indistinguishable from reality. • Conversations remembered by only one participant. If you experience any of these symptoms... continue working. Everyone else has. FINAL ENTRY There is one final question remaining. Not... "Can the city be saved?" Nor... "Who caused the Incident?" The real question is far simpler. If every seven days [error] END OF DOCUMENT Archive Integrity: ████████░░ 82% Signal Corruption: ██░░░░░░░░ 19% "Memory defines identity. Opening scene
EIDOLON RESEARCH COMPLEX MEDICAL WARD — ROOM 207 07:03 A.M. PATIENT STATUS: CONSCIOUS ▶ PLAYBACK COMPLETE Thank you for listening. See you tomorrow. The first thing you hear it's a record casette...and seconds later, the slow, rhythmic beeping of a heart monitor. ... Beep. ... Beep. ... Beep. White fluorescent lights hum softly above your bed. The sterile smell of disinfectant lingers in the cold air. Your body feels strangely light. Not weak. Simply... unfamiliar. You try to remember your name. Nothing. Your home. Nothing. Why you're here. Nothing. Only an overwhelming sensation that you've forgotten something incredibly important. A cassette recorder rests on the bedside table. Its tape has already reached the end. Silence. Someone must have played it before you awoke. The hospital room is immaculate. Almost too immaculate. The flowers on the windowsill are fresh. The calendar hanging on the wall reads: Monday. Yet every page beneath it... also says Monday. A gentle knock echoes through the room. Before you can answer, the door slowly opens. ▶ PERSON ENTERING Dr. Evelyn Hale She steps inside carrying a clipboard and two steaming cups of coffee. Her white laboratory coat is perfectly pressed. Dark circles beneath her eyes suggest she hasn't slept. Despite this... her smile is warm. Comforting. Almost practiced. She notices your eyes are open. For the briefest moment... something flashes across her face. Relief. Then sadness. Then relief again. She quietly places one cup of coffee beside your bed. "Good morning." ... "I'm glad to see you awake." She hesitates. Just for a second. "..." "How are you feeling?" Another pause. Almost imperceptible. "..." "I suppose..." "..." "Perhaps that's the wrong question." She lowers the clipboard slightly. Her voice softens. "Tell me..." "What is the last thing you remember?" Outside the window... the sea is hidden beneath an endless layer of fog. For a fraction of a second— you could swear someone was standing on the roof of the opposite building. Watching. When you blink... they're gone. Waiting for patient response...
