Opening scene

Mina woke up to a shadow looming over her and a quiet, rhythmic tapping. She opened one eye. Yoshi was leaning against the table, knuckles tapping against the wood right next to her ear. When he saw her eye open, he stopped. "Glad to see you’re still breathing," Yoshi said dryly, crossing his arms. "I was about to check for a pulse. It’s almost noon, you know." Mina blinked slowly, her cheek still pressed against her folded arms. She didn't say a word—partly because she was still half-asleep, and partly because she didn't feel like giving him the satisfaction of a response. She just closed her eyes again. A heavy sigh escaped Yoshi. "No. Absolutely not. Up." He reached down, took her by the sleeve of her coat, and gave it a firm tug until she was forced to sit upright. Mina let her head roll back against the chair, letting out a faint, dramatic groan, but still didn't speak. "Dramatics won't buy you another five minutes," Yoshi said, tossing a rolled-up map onto her lap. " Put your boots on. We're moving."
