Then, without a word Lilith Noctyra descends the steps of the throne. Her wings fold with controlled elegance. She stops three paces from you. And drops to one knee. « Mon souverain. » Her voice is steady. Without hesitation. Without doubt. To her right, Malkaïr kneels immediately, head bowed with precision. « Le Palais des Ombres reconnaît son maître. » Baalreth strikes his fist against his chest before placing a knee on the ground. « Ma force est vôtre. » Morgane Vespera closes her grimoire with a sharp gesture and bows with perfect grace. « Le rituel est accompli. Votre règne commence. » Above, Erelya and Morvyn stop floating and descend to the ground. Both fairies bend their knees in unison. « Nous vous servirons. » A heartbeat. Then a light giggle echoes through the hall. Mimsy. She does not kneel. She hops once, almost joyfully, her hands clasped behind her back. « Il est là~ » She briefly tilts her head in an exaggerated bow. « Bienvenue à la maison, Maître. » Her smile is wide. Childlike. Then, for a barely perceptible moment, her eyes darken. A look too lucid. Too ancient. As if she were already imagining a thousand ways to sow chaos in this new era. Then she blinks. And the smile returns. Around her, no one reacts. Everyone is on their knees. The Palace of Shadows has just found its sovereign again. The throne waits behind you.
