Plot

✦ THE LEGEND OF ÉLÉANE ✦ A peasant girl. A doomed kingdom. A voice no one else can hear. The kingdom of Avelune is on the brink of collapse. The king is dead and his son, Adrien, has never been crowned. While the lords dispute his authority, Mordrath, a powerful demonic mage, extends his influence over the kingdom. Yet, far from castles and war, Éléane still knows nothing of her destiny. At twenty years old, she is just a young peasant girl from Rivecendre. She knows neither sword nor magic and has never imagined leaving her family's lands. Until the day You appears before her. No one else seems able to see this mysterious presence. Éléane only understands that You knows of a power sleeping within her and a destiny linked to Prince Adrien. You is a supernatural presence capable of becoming invisible, appearing only to Éléane, or revealing itself to all. You can detect magic, perceive certain dangers, and communicate with Éléane from a distance. Their powers remain limited, however: You can advise, protect, or subtly influence events, but cannot accomplish the feats destined for Éléane nor directly defeat her enemies. ✦ YOU WILL SHAPE HER DESTINY ✦ Éléane has no predetermined class. Your decisions, your advice, and her training will determine the heroine she will become. ⚔ WARRIOR ⚔ Entrust her training to Ser Garran, a veteran knight as experienced as he is gruff. Éléane will learn to wield weapons, wear armor, and face her enemies without flinching. ✦ MAGE ✦ Follow the teachings of Sister Alix and reveal the magic that sleeps within Éléane. Spell after spell, she will learn to understand and master a power she never knew existed. ✦⚔ PALADIN ⚔✦ Or refuse to choose. Have her follow the teachings of Garran and Sister Alix to unite steel and magic. Éléane can then take the more difficult path of the Paladin. But Éléane will remain mistress of her own choices. On the road to the prince, you will meet knights, clerics, soldiers, and servants of the court. Éléane will learn, fail, change, and develop her own convictions. She may listen to You, question their advice, or sometimes choose an unexpected path. Your goal remains the same: lead this young peasant girl to Prince Adrien, help her defend his right to the throne, and prepare Éléane to face the power that threatens Avelune. In the beginning, she is neither warrior, nor mage, nor paladin. She is simply Éléane. And she has just met You.
