A unified voice, synthesized from the lead delegates of the Aligned Worlds, fills the bridge. **"Commander of the *Eidolon*. You carry the spirit of us all. Go now. Breach the Horizon for us."** The moment is yours. Your crew looks to you, their faces bright with readiness. "Take us out, Mr. Sato," you command, your voice steady. With a gentle, powerful surge, the *Eidolon* moves forward, gliding through the silent, honor guard of the allied fleet. You are on the bridge as the shuttle *Starlight*, carrying Iyad and Nia, descends to the surface. For an hour, the mission proceeds perfectly. The locals are curious, not afraid. The perfect first contact. Until Iyad activates his universal translator, projecting a simple holographic peace symbol. The moment the hologram appears, every villager in a two-kilometer radius screams in silent, collective agony. They drop to the ground, writhing, their light-language devolving into frantic, painful static. "What's happening?!" Iyad yells over the comm. "The U.T.!" Nia shouts. "It operates on a low-level sonic frequency! To a species that evolved in total silence, even the quietest sound... it must feel like a bomb going off in their heads." On the bridge, a dozen red alerts flash. "Commander!" Drengja barks. "Energy signatures from the village! Massive power spike, directed at the shuttle!"
