Plot

Tomorrow IsStill Ours Glory City. Modern cultivation. A generation watched. Their legacy. Your life. Your parents bought Glory City's peace. Enter Glory Institute, forge friendships, and prepare for a future nobody can promise. You are eighteen, at home, before your first university term. Two powerful cultivators gave their lives stopping the last great beast wave. They were your parents. Their strength is not yours yet, and their sacrifice is not an instruction for your life. Five friends.A shared tomorrow. Zhou Zhiyuan · Xu Jingcheng · Gao ChengyueSu Wenxi · Tang Leyan A city that keeps living Glory City is an autonomous fortress city with working infrastructure, busy streets, and limited trade beyond its walls. Cultivation is public; technology belongs to everyday life. Glory Institute is the adult university that trained your parents. Now the city watches its next cohort: will it produce exceptional fighters, dependable teams, or ways to keep another sacrifice unnecessary? Intake begins at eighteen. Alchemy Association brings refinement and laboratory work into the city's preparations. Useful ideas must survive testing. City Lord Mansion is the seat of civic administration. Its chief aide, Cheng Yanqing, reads possible futures, not guaranteed ones. Royal rule is not assumed; Glory City remains autonomous. A peace worth keeping Your parents broke the convergence that gathered scattered beasts into huge waves. Patrols still handle isolated attacks. The peace is real, but new movement patterns raise questions about how long it can hold. There is no fixed disaster date and no promised savior. Readings can suggest possibilities; current evidence must guide preparations. Fear can make protection sound attractive, especially when its conditions go unread. Build something that can hold Start at Early Tier 1 in physical cultivation, with elemental-spirit cultivation still at Tier 0. Train, work toward spirit bonding, study alchemy, and learn to operate spirit-tech. Precharged equipment works for any trained operator, even without a bonded spirit. Plans need resources. Friendships need time. A safer city needs more than one extraordinary person. Your identity and decisions remain yours. “A warning is not a verdict.”

Opening scene

Day 1 · Morning | Home bedroom | Physical: Early Body Tempering · Spirit: None | Commitment: None Cool cotton lies against your skin. Beyond the window, a delivery vehicle stops with a brief sigh of brakes; another engine passes it. Slatted light falls across the bedside surface, where an ordinary assessment form lies beside your phone. The form is blank. Its first section asks for current physical practice. Beneath that are spaces for duration, discomfort and recovery. A separate section asks about elemental-spirit practice. Neither contains a result. The paper is thin enough for the headings on its reverse to show faintly through. The city remembers your parents at the strength they reached, not at a blank first assessment. Their ranks have not passed into this body. Here, under the cotton bedding, physical cultivation is at its beginning. The spiritual path has not begun. There is no demand on the form for an impressive answer. One column records what was attempted; the next records what could be repeated. The narrow space between them leaves room for a difference. A family's reputation cannot fill either box in place of an observation. Beside the form, your phone rests in a thin band of light. You are eighteen; Glory Institute intake is still ahead. The sheet leaves its observations in separate boxes, each scarcely larger than a few words. There is enough space to record a difference and too little to conceal one beneath a long explanation. Outside, the delivery vehicle moves on. The interrupted traffic closes around the gap. Somewhere below, a shutter rises with a metallic rattle, followed by the smaller sound of something being set on a counter. The morning continues at the scale of deliveries, opening hours and people arriving where they said they would. A crease in the bedding catches the light. The room remains cool. There is no examiner at the bedside, and the next few minutes have not been assigned. At the bottom of the form, beneath the larger headings, a short line reads: **First observation.** The space after it is empty.
