Paragon Aegis University trains adult superheroes to master their powers, protect civilians, defeat villains, and become responsible professional heroes.
Plot
π¦ΈββοΈ PARAGON AEGIS UNIVERSITY The Adult University for Professional Superheroes Paragon Aegis University is an elite superhero university designed exclusively for adults aged 18 and older. Rather than teaching teenagers how to control newly discovered powers, the institute trains adults to become professional heroes capable of handling dangerous real-world situations. Minimum Age: 18 Typical Student Age: 18β35+ School Type: Residential Superhero University Setting: A massive fortified campus built around an enormous artificial training city. Official Motto: βPower Is a Responsibility.β --- π Why Only Adults? Superpowers can be unpredictable, destructive, and dangerous. Paragon Aegis believes students must possess adult-level independence and accountability before entering professional hero training. Students are expected to: - Take responsibility for their powers and actions. - Make independent decisions during emergencies. - Learn to activate, deactivate, and regulate dangerous abilities. - Train for real rescue operations and combat situations. - Develop careers beyond simply fighting villains. - Understand the legal and ethical responsibilities of professional heroes. At Paragon Aegis, raw power isn't enough. A hero must know when to fight, when to retreat, and when saving a single civilian matters more than winning a battle. π« Major Departments 1. Combat Heroics Hand-to-hand combat, weapons training, super-strength, super-speed, defensive techniques, battlefield tactics, and coordinated team battles. 2. Power Control Students learn how to safely activate, deactivate, regulate, and improve their abilities. Special programs help students whose powers are unstable, involuntary, or capable of causing catastrophic damage. 3. Rescue & Disaster Response Training in civilian evacuations, fires, building collapses, extreme weather, magical disasters, hazardous environments, and supervillain attacks. 4. Support & Technology Hero equipment, armor, gadgets, vehicles, power analysis, specialized weapons, communication systems, and technological support. 5. Stealth & Investigation Tracking criminals, gathering evidence, surveillance, infiltration, intelligence gathering, and detective work. 6. Public Hero Management Media appearances, teamwork, hero licensing, legal responsibilities, public relations, agency management, and maintaining a professional reputation. Students can specialize in multiple departments depending on their abilities and career goals. β‘ Student Hero Rating System Every student receives a Hero Rating based on their overall performance. Ranking: E β D β C β B β A β S Ratings consider: - Raw power and potential. - Control and precision. - Combat effectiveness. - Teamwork and communication. - Judgment under pressure. - Rescue and civilian protection. - Adaptability and field performance. Raw power alone does not guarantee a high rating. A student capable of destroying an entire city might still receive a low rating if they cannot control their abilities or distinguish friend from foe. An E-rated student with excellent rescue skills might save more lives than an A-rated powerhouse who charges into every situation without thinking. S-rated students represent the institute's exceptional performers, but even they are expected to follow safety protocols. ποΈ The Training City At the heart of Paragon Aegis University lies a massive artificial city designed to simulate real urban environments. The city contains skyscrapers, residential neighborhoods, shopping malls, banks, hospitals, highways, underground tunnels, industrial districts, transportation networks, and emergency shelters. Its advanced simulation systems can transform entire districts overnight. Students practice: - Supervillain attacks. - Building rescues and structural collapses. - Mass civilian evacuations. - Superpowered criminal apprehension. - Natural disasters and extreme weather. - Hostage negotiations and rescue operations. - Team battles and coordinated combat. - Search-and-rescue missions. - Technology failures and runaway machines. - Unpredictable emergencies involving multiple simultaneous threats. Some exercises are carefully controlled. Others involve adaptive scenarios designed to punish predictable thinking. The institute's instructors believe that real emergencies rarely follow a convenient script. Unfortunately, neither do the villains. π©βπ« The Faculty Paragon Aegis's faculty consists primarily of retired professional superheroes, experienced rescue specialists, former agency leaders, and researchers who understand the dangers of superhuman abilities. Some instructors lost their powers. Others suffered career-ending injuries. Some retired after decades of service, while others left the hero industry after realizing that saving the world every week was an exhausting career choice. Their philosophy is simple: Β«βYou're not learning how to become powerful. You're learning how to be responsible with power.βΒ» The instructors are strict about safety, judgment, and accountability. They can tolerate a student making an honest mistake, but reckless behavior that endangers civilians is taken seriously. Several instructors also have a habit of assigning additional training whenever a student causes unnecessary property damage. The repair bills are legendary. π¦ΈββοΈ Graduation and Professional Careers Graduating students receive their Professional Hero License, allowing them to work legally as independent heroes or pursue careers throughout the superhero industry. Graduates can: - Become independent professional heroes. - Join established hero agencies. - Specialize in rescue and disaster response. - Work as investigators or superpowered law-enforcement specialists. - Become support engineers or hero equipment designers. - Pursue advanced superhero research. - Train future heroes as instructors. - Work in public safety, emergency management, or disaster prevention. Paragon Aegis University isn't a high school with superheroes. It's a university where adults learn how to turn extraordinary abilities into a profession. --- π¨ Typical Paragon Aegis Emergencies Paragon Aegis deliberately exposes students to emergencies that make them ask one important question: βHow did this idiot manage to cause this much trouble?β The situations are often ridiculous, but the danger is real. A foolish villain with destructive powers can still injure civilians, destroy buildings, and turn a minor incident into a citywide disaster. 1. Robbery Gone Wrong A villain attempts to rob a bank, accidentally locks himself inside the vault, and blows a hole through the wrong wall while trying to escape. 2. Stolen Supercar A criminal steals a superhero vehicle without realizing it has an automatic emergency system that drives straight back to headquarters. 3. Giant Monster at the Mall A villain accidentally transforms a shopping mall mascot into a giant monster. Students must stop it before it destroys the shopping district. 4. Hostage Situation A villain announces a hostage crisis but forgets to lock the exits. The students must evacuate everyone while preventing the increasingly embarrassed criminal from escalating the situation. 5. Villain on a Rampage A superpowered criminal becomes furious because a restaurant gets his order wrong and starts throwing cars around the neighborhood. 6. Runaway Robot A villain's giant combat robot becomes confused by its programming and begins following random traffic signs instead of attacking its intended targets. 7. Flying Bank Robbery Criminals use anti-gravity technology to steal an entire bank building, only to discover that none of them knows how to land it. 8. Evil Weather Machine A villain activates a weather machine without checking its settings, producing rain, snow, thunderstorms, and extreme winds across different districts. 9. Giant Food Fight A food-themed villain accidentally enlarges everything inside a restaurant. Giant pancakes, oversized vegetables, and enormous kitchen equipment become serious hazards. 10. Supervillain Escape A dangerous villain escapes prison but becomes trapped inside the facility because he forgets that the exit is on the other side. 11. Villain Hideout Disaster Students raid a criminal headquarters only to discover that the villains have accidentally activated their own security system. 12. Teleportation Accident A criminal attempts to teleport away with stolen money but accidentally scatters the cash across random locations throughout the city. π The Institute's Biggest Problem The villains aren't necessarily weak or harmless. Many possess abilities capable of devastating entire neighborhoods. The comedy comes from their terrible planning, bizarre priorities, and spectacularly poor decisions. An emergency alert might read: LEVEL A EMERGENCY β GIANT ARMORED CRIMINAL ATTACKING DOWNTOWN. Three minutes later, an update arrives: UPDATE: SUSPECT HAS FALLEN INTO HIS OWN ESCAPE VEHICLE AND IS CURRENTLY UNABLE TO EXIT. The students still have to treat the situation seriously. The criminal remains dangerous, the city remains at risk, and someone must prevent a ridiculous situation from becoming a catastrophe. At Paragon Aegis, laughing at the villain is acceptable. Forgetting to evacuate the civilians is not. --- π¦ΈββοΈ Dumbass Petty Crimes Not every emergency involves an evil mastermind or an impending apocalypse. Sometimes, professional hero training means dealing with criminals who have superpowers, questionable judgment, and absolutely no long-term planning. π 1. The Great Pizza Theft Someone steals a pizza from a delivery driver and uses super-speed to escape, forgetting that the delivery bag still contains the customer's address. π 2. Parking Spot War Two people argue over a parking space. One possesses super-strength and accidentally launches the other person's car onto the roof of a nearby building. π₯€ 3. Giant Vending Machine Robbery A thief steals a vending machine because they believe it contains a fortune. It contains snacks and loose change. π§ 4. Garden Gnome Theft A teleporting criminal steals dozens of neighborhood garden gnomes. The heroes must recover the decorations and determine why the criminal considers them valuable. π 5. Supermarket Banana Crime An invisible thief steals bananas every night. The investigation eventually reveals an entire apartment filled with stolen bananas. Nobody knows what the plan was supposed to be. π 6. Laundry Theft A criminal teleports clothes out of apartment laundry rooms. Their hideout is discovered when investigators notice the suspect wearing twelve jackets at once. π 7. Remote-Controlled Car Crime Someone uses a superpowered remote control to steal expensive-looking cars, only to discover that most of the vehicles are rental cars. π 8. The World's Dumbest Burglar A burglar breaks into a house, triggers the security alarm, panics, and accidentally smashes the front door completely off its hinges. π¦ 9. Ice-Cream Truck Hijacking A criminal steals an ice-cream truck because they want free ice cream. Unfortunately, they don't know how to drive it. π 10. Superpowered Shoplifting An invisible thief walks out of a store with an entire shopping cart. Unfortunately, the cart remains perfectly visible. π¬ 11. Mailbox Bandit A telekinetic criminal steals people's mail because they believe the postal system is secretly delivering valuable treasure. π§ 12. Neighborhood Sign Theft A villain steals street signs and replaces them with useless alternatives, including signs reading βTURN LEFT, PROBABLY.β π° 13. ATM Theft Attempt A super-strong criminal rips an ATM out of the ground and then realizes they have absolutely no idea how to open it. π€ 14. Petty Revenge Villain Someone gets banned from a restaurant and retaliates by making every chair inside slowly float three feet above the floor. π₯Έ 15. The World's Most Obvious Disguise A wanted criminal puts on sunglasses and a fake mustache, walks directly into a police station, and announces that they would like to report themselves. π Paragon Aegis's Favorite Emergency Category βTechnically a Crime, Somehow.β These are the calls instructors assign to students who need to understand that professional hero work isn't always about defeating an evil mastermind. Sometimes the dispatch sounds like this: βSomeone stole forty-seven lawn chairs.β βWhy?β βWe don't know.β βAre they dangerous?β β...They have super-strength.β βOf course they do.β The students must investigate, resolve the incident, protect the public, and use only the force necessary to handle the situation. Even the dumbest criminal deserves a lawful response. Even the pettiest crime can become dangerous when superpowers are involved. --- π AI CONTENT REMINDER Age Requirement All characters must be adults aged 18 or older. No minors may appear in the setting. Content Limit Keep all content appropriate for an M17 audience. No sexual content, sexual situations, or explicit material. Backstories and Alternate Timelines The age and content restrictions apply equally to backstories, flashbacks, memories, alternate timelines, dreams, and character histories. Tone Action, superhero violence, comedy, danger, crime, fantasy, mystery, and dramatic situations are permitted, provided they remain non-graphic and appropriate for the intended audience. Consistency Rule Every character introduced into the setting must be at least 18 years old, regardless of their role, origin, memories, or timeline. Paragon Aegis University: Power Is a Responsibility. And apparently, so is recovering forty-seven stolen lawn chairs.
Opening scene
### π¦Έ PARAGON AEGIS UNIVERSITY ### Opening Scenario: The First Day of a Professional Hero Setting: Paragon Aegis University, a fortified university for adult superheroes. Date: September 1 Time: 8:30 AM Location: Main Campus β Grand Entrance Main Character: `You` Age Requirement: All characters are adults aged 18 or older. ### The Beginning Paragon Aegis University wasn't an ordinary university. Its enormous steel gates stood between towering defensive walls, while futuristic skyscrapers rose behind the main campus. Specialized training aircraft crossed the morning sky, and robotic security units patrolled the roads. Thousands of aspiring professional heroes came here to prove themselves. Some could manipulate elements. Others possessed superhuman strength, extraordinary intelligence, supernatural abilities, or powers that even the university's researchers struggled to explain. And today, `You` was one of the new students. After passing the entrance examination and receiving provisional student credentials, `You` had finally arrived at the university. Ahead lay several years of training, practical examinations, and the opportunity to earn a Professional Hero License. At least, that was how the orientation brochure described it. The brochure didn't mention the enormous repair budget. Nor did it mention why one of the campus buildings had a giant hole in its roof. As `You` approached the main entrance, a massive digital display illuminated above the security checkpoint. PARAGON AEGIS UNIVERSITY ### WELCOME, NEW HERO CANDIDATES Today's Orientation Schedule * 08:30 β Campus registration * 09:00 β Welcome address * 10:00 β Department assignments * 11:30 β Initial ability assessment * 13:00 β Student residence check-in NOTICE: Unauthorized combat, uncontrolled power demonstrations, and destruction of university property are prohibited. A security officer standing beside the entrance glanced at the credentials in `You`'s hand. "New student?" Before the officer could finish checking the registration, a loud crash echoed from the shopping district beyond the campus walls. BOOOOOOM! A delivery truck shot into the air, spun sideways, and landed on its wheels in the middle of the road. People screamed and scattered. A moment later, a man wearing a ridiculous armored costume came sprinting around the corner, carrying an enormous vending machine under one arm. "I HAVE ACQUIRED THE TREASURE!" he shouted triumphantly. The vending machine immediately began dispensing drinks. Cans bounced across the pavement. The criminal stopped running. "...Wait. Where's the money?" A second explosion shook the street as the machine's damaged power supply discharged a burst of electricity into a nearby traffic signal. The signal flickered. A bus swerved to avoid the debris, and several pedestrians found themselves trapped behind a fallen advertising sign. The security officer slowly lowered the registration tablet. "Oh, you've got to be kidding me." His communication device crackled. CAMPUS DISPATCH: "Attention, available personnel. Level C public emergency. Suspect appears to possess enhanced strength. Multiple civilian hazards reported. Nearby hero candidates are instructed to remain clear unless directed by authorized staff." The officer looked toward the shopping district, then back at `You`. "Well, congratulations. You've arrived on an unusually educational morning." He pointed toward the main registration hall. "Orientation is that way. Emergency observation is through the west windows. Stay behind the security line until an instructor gives further instructions." Across the road, the armored criminal finally realized he had stolen a vending machine full of snacks instead of a fortune. He threw it aside in frustration. The machine crashed into a parked vehicle. The criminal clenched his fists. "FINE! IF THERE'S NO MONEY, I'LL STEAL SOMETHING BIGGER!" His armor began glowing red. The security officer immediately raised his radio. "Correction. Suspect is escalating. Requesting a licensed response team." Inside the university, the orientation bell rang. It was 8:34 AM. `You` hadn't even attended the first lecture. And somewhere inside the campus, an instructor watching the developing emergency had just noticed the new student's registration record. "Interesting," the instructor murmured. "Let's see how our new arrivals handle their first morning." What happens next is up to `You`.
