What makes a cursed technique feel like JJK?

Three things. A narrow rule, played to its limit — the series' scariest techniques are basically legal contracts with cursed energy. Information as a weapon — half of every JJK fight is deducing the opponent's rule, which is why revealing yours (for a boost) is such a good trade. Costs that escalate — conditions, burnout, binding vows: power is always borrowed from somewhere.
